Love this product line, but this color came out much closer to black than expected on me
I'm East Asian and naturally have dark brown hair. I use Daeng Gi Meo Ri to help cover premature greys and have for a few years now. I usually get natural brown as it is lighter than my natural hair color but dark enough to cover greys, but unfortunately it wasn't available when I was out of my usual and I took a chance on this one.It came out quite a bit closer to black than expected! Picture attached, pardon the messy hair. I would describe my hair as "dark brown" naturally, but this is a few shades darker than that. Not a big problem, but it definitely gave me a bit of a surprise at first. I would also say it runs sliiightly "cooler" than the natural brown and the light brown which my mom uses, which clashes a bit more with my (warm) skin tone. Not the hugest fan of that effect, but again it is not a huge deal.Other than that, this hair dye is always gentle and I love that I can shower after dyeing my hair without worrying about washing the color out. It's a little tricky to apply at first by yourself, but it's also pretty forgiving and even if I accidentally get some on my skin, it rinses out fine. (The same can't be said if it gets on your clothes, though.) I'm not always good at applying it evenly, but I've never noticed it coming out patchy or streaky. My hair is on the shorter side, but find that I can use the entire package if I want to in one dye session — personally I prefer to do that as I would rather not have two opened bottles of dye agent sitting in my closet for a few months. The instructions do say you can store the leftovers, though. The instruction booklet comes in a few languages, including English and Korean, and the box includes a pair of plastic gloves, a plastic "cape" or bib to protect your clothes, the two dye agent tubes to mix together, and a comb/brush to apply the dye. Some reviews mention shampoo, but I have never received sample packets in my box.I have never had any scalp tingling or pain or burning and have never had an allergic reaction to this or the natural brown color either. (Make sure to patch test, though!) When getting my hair dyed at the salon, it was pretty uncomfortable and would irritate my scalp for a while after, but I have never had that issue with this brand. Plus, I feel that this dye lasts a longer time than one might expect for an herbal hair dye, I generally get three or four months before I notice greys again and have to touch it up (that's with daily washing as well). The value is great for me and the result is perfect, too. I only would consider a salon dye at this point so I don't have to do the dyeing job myself lol.I would recommend this product lineup wholeheartedly and I pray they never ever change it, because it is perfect (imo) as it is right now. As for this specific color, it seems it varies as to how it'll come out so YMMV, but the color itself isn't bad at all and still looks quite natural. Far from the worst home dye result you can get!

Gentle and fast. Perfect for stubborn grays and sensitive scalp. Less hair loss
Finally the search is over! Perfect for stubborn grays and sensitive scalp.Initially I was annoyed the box didn’t contain gloves as specified but this am in middle of pandemic I decided I can’t wait any longer to cover my roots.I love that the color and activator are in cream form and in tubes so you can use leftover product again unlike other dyes you need to discard after one use. The dye is indeed like pudding and Easy to mix. I started with the top part gradually colored the side and back. After I covered my entire head of roots with the brush I massaged (thank goodness I had box of latex gloves thanks to COVID9) the dye for better saturation.I didn’t feel the usual burn I do even at salons which was a good sign, I did feel a slight tingle but it was not unpleasant. The instructions said it will work 7-8 minutes hour since I have stubborn grays that sometimes comes out orange if I don’t leave it on long enough I left it on for 12 minutes vs the usual 35-40 w other products.I Rinsed and shamood and was happy to see the shower drain wasn’t thickly covered w hair as I normally do which has always upset me so much.I was happy to see all the grays were gone, no orange half covered root or red scalp! Really remarkable product. I have enough to touch up the hairline since I used about 80% of it since I have a lot of hair.I normally get my hair colored at the salon every six weeks and touch up the hairline and part in the middle but I think I can even go for salon color every 12 weeks instead. I would use this all the time but I really don’t know how well I did the back!I will definitely buy again and the Dark brown didn’t.come out black as some reviewers posted.

Just had 24 hr, skin test and I'm NOT allergic to it! BUT after 48hrs, I am it has PTD
UPDATE AGAIN: IF YOU'RE ALLERGIC TO PPD most likely you are allergic to PTD. PTD OR toluene-2,5-diamine with concealed P Is almost the same ingredients as PPD that can cause allergy. I always check the ingredients starting with P that is why I missed this UPDATE: After 48 hours, I felt some itchy feeling and redness on my mustache, I had to apply some contisone hoping it does not go any further. I guess Im stuck to henna. I got unlucky to get some reaction. Most negative reviews are because they are allergic to it or no free shampoo pkts included. Tried it on my stubborn mustache for 15 min. shampoo'd and conditioned and seems to work. Most dye does not let you shampoo for 24 hours but this worked so far. I have a lot of hope on this since I tried henna that you leave for 1-2 hours and find out it did not color. I also tried the Korean HERB and worked a few times and then wont work anymore after-I guess it expires quickly after opening it. I hope this one works a lot better. I always follow up on my review so if there's no update, it means 5 stars it is. I'm so happy with my initial trial so hope this last. I searched online and Amazon has the best price so far. No more long hours of waiting and no more covering my mustache with plastic wrap. Mix it 1:1, apply it on dry hair, wait 15 min or longer if you like it darker, rinse, shampoo and conditioner.I posted the instructions part because I was desperately looking online and cannot find it. I have to read several reviews to get an idea.
