It is a good solid opaque material with a good drape that fits the body well where I want it to and glides over the parts that I would rather not draw attention to, like my moderately rounded tummy I am 5 foot two and wear a 16/18 most of the time and the XL fits me perfectly. Hits right at the knees, not too short and not too long.
