01/04/26: great product worth to buy that can be used in many ways. My generator has wheels but heavy, this will help me and my back; very sturdy; easy instructions to understand; the first thing I do is to account for all the parts and they were all there; no damages during shipping; I'm going to install a light system but it comes with a reflective tape; It is heavy, so it's better to have someone to help you mount it onto the hitch 01/18/26: used the hitch for the first time; I used it to carry my protable generator that weights under 200 pounds; the only concern I have is that the item(s) need the be balanced in the center to equal the weight distribution; do not use it as a step on the sides to get up onto the truck or anything else

Although the instructions were minimal, the assembly was pretty straight forward. It was not very clear regarding how to use the stabilizer, but, I assume, it slides up tight against the receiver when connected to the towing vehicle. I would rather that the ramp was not installed prior to shipping since it was always swinging open or shut while trying to assemble the support brackets. The hold-down pin for when the ramp is folded flat does not line up with the mating tube on the ramp, so I am unable to lock the ramp in the folded position. Overall I am fairly satisfied with it and have used it to move my generator and snow blower from one location to another.

The carrier was received quickly and is of good quality in both materials and workmanship. The assembly instructions are not the best, however it’s easy to determine how it goes together with the exception of the “stabilizer”. I’m still not sure of how it’s supposed to work. For my situation, I hoped to be able to easily install/remove the carrier frequently, however on my vehicle (Palisade) I have to get down on my knees and awkwardly reach under the carrier to remove the hitch pin. Upon doing some research, I’ve ordered a folding hitch adapter that will extend the carrier somewhat further away from the vehicle to allow easier access to the hitch pin and also allow the carrier to fold up 90 degrees (when empty and ramp folded in) towards the back of the vehicle. This reduces the need to frequently remove the carrier. A win for my situation.

We had our friend weld on a hitch to the back of the camper and popped this bad boy on it! Very sturdy and works as promised. Ramp is easy to release and it is so much better than lifting the generator! Assembly was not hard to do at all and it wasn’t that heavy to bring over to the camper. The instruction manual is hard to interpret, so I went off of the pictures and other people’s review photos to ensure I was doing it correctly. 10/10 recommend, great purchase!

First off, like others have mentioned, the instructions are horrendous. Blurry, no clear instruction anywhere. If you’re not mechanically inclined don’t buy, you will struggle putting this together. Second, the joints that hold the actual ramp are too big. If you have a low mobility scooter this isn’t for you. I have a go go sport and it always gets stuck half way up. I literally have to lift and push just to put it up and over those joints. (Try doing that after dialysis) I purchased another carrier off Amazon and I don’t have this problem. Ramp is also configured to drop down on left side? That’s the driver side. You have to load up to the right, turn around and walk back to the driver side. In my opinion that’s a deal breaker. Kind of stupid. All other carriers load from the right and naturally after securing scooter, you continue walking to driver seat side. I tried to install it on the opposite end and it won’t work because the hardware to latch the ramp would now be near the bumper instead of facing out. This carrier is all backwards. Maybe my unit came defective but for 200 bucks you at least expect some sort of working product. How do you even return something like this? Guess I’m stuck with it until someone calls on OfferUp. Look elsewhere.

Totally awesome cargo rack with ramp. Super easy to sucure if your chair has built in hooks. Get short ones made just for. The hard robber, or gget ratchet ones and cut the tail. We had ratchet ones, 6. [more actually, but tarped it just in case it rained on the way so different layer] 4 tether points on chair. Our manual specifically tether points need to have hook in tether point and other end of hook in security point. two front, two back. Because traveling 60 miles, on a freeway, and chair was brand new, technically borrowed, owner deceased, 2 straps diagnal one each direction front to back to help eliminate side to side, front to back on the rack, or tipping of seat/back of extra tall back chair. didn't need broke back window. Tethering was piece of cake Although there are 2 Must Knows, and Must Consider before buying Otherwise, you'll have an epic fail 1- where is / what is height of your hitch receiver- new vehicles it's in the biper not below 2- The ramp/ basket etc, ias stated is powder coated. This is good, protects it from rust, sort of, one jaunt in the rail and you can see rust roll off. Framing edges on frame, and joints aren't coated well. This means that Basic Model Wheelchairs Only, Nothing Fancey... See more below. 3- 100% You want the stabilizer. If you'r hitch receiver is in your bumper the included one will not work, see item 1 below 4- You have to be the incredible houlk to place it in hitch receiver, that's good but, it's sturdy... and You aso need have to be gumpy, or lay on the ground to secure it once in the receiver with te hitch pin. Realistically, Wheelchair, Scooter... Unless your a caregiver, or assisting your parent/child, you are none of these. Plan ahead and Find the incredible haulk x2 one for each side and Gumby unless you feel like laying on the ground to help you before you start. Locking down the pin if you piut the ramp horizontal can be difficult to manupilate, not so much, but get in and out, due it's proximity to the vehicle unless you lean over basket across short side, or again lay on ground, or you're gumby, or Inspector Gasget= go=go=gadget arms. We luckily have a Gumby. 1- Know if you have a newer model SUV and your hitch receiver is in your bumper (has that nice plastic piece your removed the first time you used it and if you use it regularly never put back) and not below your bumper,, you will not be able to use the stabilization plate unless you remove the hard rubber/flexible plastic ring around your hitch, and maybe no then. We were not willing to remove to find out. However There is an easy fix. Since your hitch receiver being in your bumper, most likely is higher than those mounted below the bumper. Most likely, your bumper may be lower to the ground being on top of vs under so to speak the frame.. Do some math first, how long is the ramp, how high is your hitch, how steep does that make the ramp because I very loudly say only Most Likely- We had a 2003, 2008, 2013, 2021 GMC Yukon/Chevy Tahoe all parked in a row, the 2013 and 2021 it's in the bumper, 2003 and 2008 below. The bottom edge of receive from the one closest to the ground, the only one with the manufacturer built in extended towing packing, was a full 6" lower that the bottom of the highest one. The 2003 and 2008 being the highest and lowest. Once you you've done the math and have the angle of the ramp you can do some more math, find a smart high school/college kid that likes geometry, and determine how much you need to lower, your hitch receiver. You can then purchase a hitch adapter, most often listed as an extension, unfortunately, yes about 6" but bonus you don't have to be gumby to get to the ramp pins, and most often as hitch riser. Some will say to raise or drop. They can go in either way don't worry that it's called itch-riser. Function is raise or drop. 2- There are in big wide open general terms what my dad calls Basic model power wheelchairs and Cadillac model power chair. Or 4 wheel power chairs, and 6 wheel powerchairs. 4 wheel wheelchairs function differently than the 6 wheel onles. If you only have 4 wheels, you shouldn't have a problem. If you have a scooter, check your wheels, you could have either type of wheels. 4 wheel power wheelchairs all 4 of the wheels have tread on them, they're traction tires look sorta like the ones on your car. You might find it'll slip slightly if it's wet so if it rains a lot be careful. in particular. The scooter, make sure you have traction tires with tread on them. The 6 wheel wheelchairs in general have wheels like a manual wheelchair with an extra set of small wheels in the back. The ones in the front steer going forward, the ones in the back steer when going in reverse, and having them in front and back in theory help maintain balance on hills. two big, and 4 small. My mom said "Oh I get to ride the center of a tee-ter-tot-ter" Not quite, all 6 are on the ground. The problem is that only the two large wheels are traction tires on most of these models. The other 4 look like 1970's/80's tenspeed/racing bike tires. This created two problems. 1- getting it onto the ramp. The lip is significant. And we adjusted our hitch height to the point that if we drove the vehicle the hitch would've hit the ground at some point, as in any down hill road grade, toast. [We only had the nonweight bearing foot, and one person-granted he is the haulk, so it literally was sitting on top our glass recycle bin] As the big wheels got to that lip those tires hit the corner edge, square bar, and are now off the ground, only wheels on the ground are 4 small. They managed to rolll over the lip, but the action of the front wheels continuing up the ramp results in them going up in height. Which lmeans the center wheels also go up height and lose contact with the ramp. Only have front and rear wheels on the ground. Front just spin on ramp, rear spin once or twice then come toa complete stop. The Haulk was able to stand behind the chair, reach over it and push the conroller till I balancing on one leg could reach, about when big wheels hit edge, and then he assisted it, pushed the rock up the ramp, giving it enough umph, until the rear wheels were on the ramp. Chair on ramp. 2- only one traction tire on each side, bright sunny day, no rain for 3 or 4 days, traction tire just spins on the powder coated grid. Perhaps unique to the tread as the gap between in each section lines up with the gap in the next row. Which could also contribute to getting over the lip. If the tread is not in a nice grid patter you myy be okay. If it is off set you maight be able to maintain traction once you get it on. To transport it from my parents house to our house, my dad attached my brothers 12 foot motor cycles ramps they had temporarily borrowed since they 100% of the time in powerchair is a brand new thing, The moving up those ramps as far as the chair went was fine, keeping the chair on those ramps while 'driving' chair from behind by person who doesn't have control driving it when sitting in it, not so much. Same issue getting over lip of those at the beginning, but significantly less so. Also same lip going into basket, and transition from ramp to basket, 3 of 6 wheels made it, one big wheel halfway made it on the edge of the basket, and the rear wheels and tdid nothing but slide slideways as soon as they came off motor cycle ramp and hit the powder coading, which meant sideways, down one rear and one front small wheel off the ramp as the weight of the battery was still over the ramp and pulled it and was more weight than the 75 year old man could keep from sliding with most of weight hangng off the flat area. 75 year old man being relative as, not work out at gym, or at all aside from climbing stairs and doing yard work like 30 year old, but good pretty much lifts what he wants, avg 50 yr phycal abilities. Good Luck. We were thinking rubber mats. I have two of the rubber-tek type floor mats that go in the back of the SUV. That if they were on top the metal so wheels not directly on the metal that would work. However, since when I really need it, I'm depending on friends of friends to pick me up, leave their vehicles and drive mine to an event their helping me help the mutual friend with who wont be there. I'll just take the manual chair and my crutches, hope the maual chair doesn't fall apart, 20 yrs old, or get stuck somewhere, extra wide one. So we didn't try that. And who knows, Im in Oregon. Is it going to rain that weekend? If it does I'm the one that geets to make sure it wont get wet, never mind I'm the one who gets to secure it.

I got it on time with no problem and someone put it together for me with no problem and it's perfect I recommend it to anyone

I bought this mount to carry my wife’s folding tricycle on our biking trips everywhere. When we are home, it stays in the garage on a wheeled dolly that I built, which makes it easier for me to move it to/ from the car. The mount was very easy to assemble without even looking at the instructions. It is definitely a quality, solidly built mount. Contrary to many reviews, the ramp works perfect on the passenger side without any issues. On my 2009 Highlander it mounts perfect with the ramp on the driver side and there is ample space between the locking pin and the back of the car. Actually there is a gap of almost 8 inches between the locking pin and the bumper.

We took it to hitch guy local to extend cage 4 inches so as my friends scooter could fit then it was great ! Check demensions guys i installed led tail lights for safety plugs into my trailer light socket

I haven't used it yet but it's very sturdy. Was a little bit of a struggle to put together but that's just me. Anyone with two working hands could put it together. Lol

Somewhat works. Too small for large snow blower. Snow blower handle stops ramp from folding up into the lock position. briggs and stratton 1024 snow blower

Doesn't fit my mobility scooter..its way too short. My bad to assume it's a standard size for scooters..bc its is NOT! Check and re check your size of scooter before you but it.
