Made DIY oil changes much easier
Installation was very easy, and once it was installed, it made doing my own oil changes much simpler and less messy. I'm a single woman who has been learning to do more of my own basic vehicle maintenance, and anything that makes those jobs easier and less intimidating is a win for me. The ValvoMax takes one of the more annoying parts of an oil change and simplifies it. I don't have to fight with the drain plug every time or worry as much about making a mess when the oil starts coming out. I installed mine on a 2000 Jeep Wrangler TJ, and I was a little concerned about whether the valve would stick down too far or cause an issue with the skid/splash protection underneath. I have plenty of room and worried for nothing. I especially like that future oil changes don't require tools just to drain the oil. Once the valve is installed, it's basically there to make every oil change afterward easier. If you do your own maintenance, especially if you're newer to working on your own vehicle, I think this is absolutely worth it. It's a small upgrade, but it's one of those things that makes you wonder why you didn't install it sooner. UPDATE: Six months later, and I have had ZERO leaks and the oil change was a BREEZE!! 100% Recommend this. Worth the price!

Oil Changes Made Easy
As someone that does almost all of my own vehicle maintenance, I find oil changes to be one of the most simple vehicle maintenance tasks to perform. Even though it is a simple task, the ValvoMax oil drain plug makes it easier still and greatly reduces the mess and cleanup required after an oil change. I find this product so helpful that I've just purchased a third ValvoMax oil drain valve. I originally purchased a ValvoMax for my Jeep Wrangler which was equipped with aftermarket skid plates. The small opening on the skid plate for oil plug access combined with the near horizontal orientation of the drain plug made oil changes difficult and usually very messy. The ValvoMax solved this problem. The oil doesn't flow until the drain tube is connected. The drain tube directs the oil through the small opening in the skid plate into my used oil container without spilling a drop. I liked the benefits of this product enough that I purchased two more for other vehicles that I own, even though the other vehicles did not have skid plate access issues. Why ValvoMax: I prefer the design of the ValvoMax over the lever style drain plugs. Since my original purchase was for a Jeep Wrangler that is driven extensively off-road, I was concerned that trail debris could strike the lever style drain plug valve and open it. With no exposed lever to open the valve, and a cover cap secured over the valve, I felt the ValvoMax was the best design for my intended use. Problems: The only issue I have had with my ValvoMax drain plugs was the inability to get one to seal completely against the drain pan (the other ValvoMax plug had no such issue). It did not drip, but there was oil residue around the base of the drain plug indicating that the washer had not completely sealed the connection. I removed the ValvoMax plug during an oil change and replaced the provided aluminum crush washer with a metal washer with a rubber inner seal (stat-o-seal style). I then reinstalled the ValvoMax drain plug with no further leak issues. Note: I recently purchased a third ValvoMax oil drain plug and noticed that the new plug was supplied with a metal/rubber sealing washer. That change has resolved the only negative issue I have experienced with my previous ValvoMax plug. The ValvoMax oil drain plug makes draining the oil from your drain pan a simple, no mess, no tools needed process. I have used them on multiple vehicles for a combined use of over 100,000 miles with no failures.

Well made and stops splatter
Installed this on our 2008 Winnebago Vista with Ford V10 gas engine. Install was easy and the product is very well made and sturdy. No leaks after installation. I was happy to see O rings used where they should be and look forward to the next oil change being much easier as the drain hose is also very well made and allows control of the drainage without spewing oil as soon as the plug is removed. Anyone who has changed oil on the Ford F53 chassis knows the front axle is right under the drain port so oil shoots out, hits the axle, and splatters every where. This device eliminates the problem.

Makes Maintenance Easy
What a game changer! I have a Funmoto/EZ drain style drain plug on another car for years and the most difficult step in those was just releasing the oil valve. With the ValvoMax, all you have to do is screw in the release hose and done! The added bonus is that it makes oil sampling so much easier as well. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to change their own oil with simplicity.

Easy install but.....
I would have given it 5 stars but if you don't have a deep 24mm socket you can't properly torque it and I was forced to use a regular wrench and just tighten by feel which should be fine. I wasn't going to spend yet more to buy another socket size especially when I already had several 24mm sockets just not deep sockets....a little annoying but it is secure enough to the oil pan. As for primary reason I changed to this it seems well constructed and will be nice for future oil changes. I did read other reviews that said it's a little slower to drain but I don't care if it makes the process virtually toolless.... it's worth it. Easy to use, fits perfectly and is compatible with our. Cx-5s and replaces the original drain plug perfectly. I highly recommend.

Worth the money.
Bought this for my 2020 tundra and did my first oil change using it and it works great, no mess. My only complaint is it's a bit slower than just pulling the drain plug, but it probably only added on a few minutes.

Worked great!
Just did my first oil change, was definitely WAY less messy, only think I can say, when I screwed the hose onto the drain bolt, where the screw part connected to the house did leak a little, so I still recommend having something small under it

Perfect for Eco Diesel Engines.
Such an easy to use drain plug. I am using this on my 2023 Ram 1500 Eco Diesel. Anyone that has the Eco Diesel Engine knows, performing an oil change is absolutely horrendous and messy. The reason the the drain bolt is right above the cross member so it hits it and splatters everywhere. Installed this and finally got to use it. Threaded right on and drained the oil, no leaks or problems. Only complaint is the hose that comes with it is kinda short need to purchase the extended length one for my truck.

Good quality
This plug does not protrude very far out of the oil pan which is great, and It is very well built. Ideal drain valve.

It leaks, Does not seal with rubber
It leaks engine oil. In comparison, the original ford screw comes with rubber washer to seal it and this item come with steal washer which, I assume, causing the leak. So i had to use the original ford screw again..!
