Protect your leather with this perfect product
I am a big fan of leather. I always have Ben. I always will be the quality and the gauge of the level doesn’t really matter but at the end of the day I wanna make sure my leather lasts so I bought this and I have to say this stuff is absolutely magical. I do it slightly different. I use a hairdryer I warm up my leather first just a little so it’s warm to the touch then I use this oil it absorbs in and doesn’t leave any residue on the surface. I’ve used this on boots waistcoat belts, jacket jackets everything and it is fabulous.

Making dry leather supple.
This does the job! I have used it on both the new leather straps of a rucksack and the old dry straps of a vintage army sack. It softens and waterproofs. Expensive but if you want the job doing…

Smells nices, softens leather
Only needs a tiny amount each time. Smells like liquid smoke, so quite nice to apply. Softens leather very well, but doesn't waterproof the way wax or a spray would.

Made old leather boots more supple
Renovated a pair of leather walking boots which were becoming quite stiff and hurting my feet. They are now more supple. As previous people have said, there is a strong smell and so I shut them in the utility room with an extra or fan on.

This stuff is excellent. I bought it for my soles and its perfect. The smell is good, not overpowering and dissipates quickly. Super easy to apply, I used a little paint brush and it worked well, and then just threw the brush in a ziplock to use again. To me that works better than using a rag or towel also preventing any possible color transfer from the rag.

Old school remedy for old stiff heavy leather. Used to restore vintage saddlebags that had dried out and were too rigid to close properly. After multiple, generous applications the leather softened right up. Works best if the leather is at elevated temperature - do it outside on a hot sunny day and the leather will just drink in the oil. The result is not shiny but looks great. I suspect this stuff would do wonders for heavy leather boots. It has a smokey/peat smell to it so maybe not good for leather furniture or car seats.

Seems to work just fine. Although I will say that I do prefer Obenaufs with the built-in dauber. But for the price, it’s great. It’s got a little bit of a weird pine tar smell, but that fades pretty fast. And I’m pretty sure no one goes around smelling their boots.
