I'm developing a project using this reader to read barcodes of a line of bags passing in front of it. IT's fast and very reliable. Of course you have to choose a correct barcode style to get speed and accuracy both at the same time but so far I'm impressed with this little thing,

Works great. Make sure you download the manual because there are a lot of config options in there that I would have never thought of.

Arrived next day. Product was as described, and on testing it was in full working order.

I cannot get it to output any signal to a computer or PLC on any setting.

Perfect for arduino/esp32. Waveshare provides a compressive 93 page manual on their website. Scanning can be triggered via UART by writing {0x7E, 0x00, 0x08, 0x01, 0x00, 0x02, 0x01, 0xAB, 0xCD} after scanning configuration codes for "UART Output" and "Command Mode". The CCD scanning module has no problem reading configuration codes from a monitor.
