Buen color
I used this Chefmaster Coal Black Liqua-Gel food coloring for buttercream and cake batter, and it worked really well. The color is very concentrated, so you only need a few drops to start getting a deep shade without watering down the icing.  What I like most is that it doesn’t change the taste or texture of the frosting, which sometimes happens with other food colorings. The gel blends smoothly and gives a rich black color that looks great for decorating cakes and cookies.  Overall, this is a great option if you need a strong black color for baking or decorating. A little goes a long way, and the bottle lasts a long time.

A little goes a very long way. The color is rich and vibrant, with no noticeable taste or odor. The gel blends smoothly without clumps or streak. It is an excellent value compared to the other well-known gel food coloring brand.

Superb product. It IS coal black.
Best black colouring I've ever bought. This stuff is intense and BLACK!!! No more gray colour in my icing or ice cream. And you don't need a lot. I probably used way more than I needed to the first time I used it. I will only buy this brand for black food colouring in the future.
