LOOKS GREAT
I had another 15” rubber antenna like this and it really wavered in the wind driving on the interstate. This shorter antenna should work fine. The adapter threads was a perfect match on the factory base. It screwed all the way down with no gap. Reception is good as the factory steel antenna.

Great for the price. Plastic outside
I got the 7.5 TJ JK JL F150 This is a great alternative to the stock antenna, and it comes with three antenna adapters to fit different models. Looks great for the price, the outside is plastic, so it might get chewed up with some serious off roading.

Don't buy
Worthless. In my f150 I get 18 radio stations. Put on this antenna and I get one FM station no AM. Tried it in my Jeep Wrangler, same thing, 1 FM no AM stations.

Didn’t fit my Jeep
Easily threads on in place of the old antenna but it didn’t fit as the base was too wide to go all the way on. Otherwise it looks durable. Just didn’t fit on my 2005.
