Loud and useful. Durable and easy to use

I wanted to try a whistle to see if my senior hard-of-hearing dogs could hear it and would come in faster from our large yard. My husband told me NO; it would be a waste of money and they would not come to a whistle without extensive training. So, naturally I decided to try it anyway. I chose these whistles because they were inexpensive and there would be one for each of us. Guess what? On the very first whistle, both dogs hurried back up to the door as if they’d been professionally trained. Now they come to this clear and sharp sounding whistle from anywhere in the house too. They are plastic, but unless you step on one, I think they will last a long time. I would recommend them.

This is a great whistle for starting referees. I bought it for myself in order to distinguish the sound from the other whistles new refs are given by default. The sound wasn’t much different but it works, it’s loud, and it gets attention of the players. My issue however, lies in the pea. I don’t know exactly why, but sometimes, whether it’s my first whistle if the game calling the teams or in the middle of a play calling a foul, the pea gets stuck in the opening, so instead of having the vibrating whistle sound, I get a high pitched squeal. Not a super annoying thing if it happens once in a while, but in 45 minute halves, it happens at least 5-6 times. It’s not moisture, because I’ve gotten the noise on the first whistle of the night. Other than that, I’ve liked it for being a new ref.

Exactly what I needed! A security guard told me I should get a loud whistle for when I walk my dog late at night. He emphasized that it needed to be a really loud one, well this one fits the bill. It's really very loud, super light weight and comes in a package of 2. I didn't know how good it would be until I actually tried it. I'm very pleased with it and gave the second one to a friend.
