Excellent Ice Machine – Fast, Reliable, and Worth It!
I’m very impressed with this ice machine. It produces ice quickly and consistently, which is perfect for both home and business use. The build quality feels solid and durable, and it’s very easy to set up and use. It runs efficiently without making too much noise, and the ice quality is great. Overall, this is a reliable and high-quality product that I highly recommend. Definitely worth the investment!

Working great, makes ice at the rated speed!
This product is certainly "easy to install". I put that in quotes, since you need a water line coming in, and a drain line going out. It's very easy, in that it just plugs into your power outlet (no hard wiring), but if you aren't particularly handy you might need a plumber to run those lines for you. But it's not a complicated install either way. Some things to note, and none of these are 'knocks' on the Euhomy, this is the way all ice makers in this category operate, but if you're just getting one for the first time for your house, maybe you didn't know. 1) The bin where the ice is stored is just a bin. Ice in there will slowly melt over time. Only the part of the machine where the ice is made is chilled. This is probably a good thing for you. It makes this product much more affordable, and it is friendlier to your electric bill. 2) You need three things - a power outlet (regular 110V), a water line coming in (same as your refrigerator's ice maker needed), and a drain line coming out - remember that bin? When ice melts, it becomes water. That will pool on the floor, or you can run the line and remove the water. Do that. ;) In my case, we installed it in our garage. It's not obnoxiously loud, but if you put it in your kitchen, you WILL hear the condenser come on as it's making ice. It sits about 6 feet from our hot water heater, so we had a relatively easy install, we had a guy tap that water line for the heater, and run it also to the Euhomy. Voila, ice coming in! We installed a water filter in between the water line and the ice maker, because filtration! For the drain line, there was no way to get it safely outside my garage floor without a condensate pump. All ice makers like this rely on a gravity drain. If the drain line runs DOWN, gravity will ensure the water leaves. The further you run that line, the less likely you can keep it sloping downward. So any local big box hardware store will sell for under $100 a water condensate pump. Run the line to the pump, and then from the pump to a place where it's safe for water to go, and you're good to go. Our line from the ice maker to the pump is a downward slope, and the pump has a float, then when it floats that means enough water is in the unit, and it pumps it out of our house. Get a good pump, the cheap ones fail relentlessly. Our same plumber ran that line right next to where the water heater's exit line was, drilled a small hole, and boom - all my melted ice water flows safely to the grass outside my garage. One last thing... I'll say it again. If you need a condensate pump, buy a good one. The first one we had died really quick. The cheap ones are very cheap, and being in the garage didn't help (the motor overheated). We knew it failed right away, there was puddle of water on the floor one morning, and the unit was very hot. It had a small fan near the power supply that burned out within a month of installation. I bought a much better pump, and have had no problems yet. It also has a float-less design (one less thing to get 'stuck') and lots of indicators. Don't spend $400-500 on a ice maker, and possibly $200-400 on a plumber and then stick a cheap pump in there. Get a good pump if you need it! Because it's in a garage, and because that garage is in South Florida, I did use the timer feature to let it "freeze" ice longer. I have it set to +4 - which basically means it freezes the ice an additional four minutes before dropping it in the bin. The ice was a little to "soft" with some unfrozen water in the middle of the cube otherwise. Depending on where your ice maker is, you might not need that drastic an adjustment. It still makes ice really quick and really often. The ONLY other quirk is... it's rainy season in Florida. We get a lot of thunderstorms, and our power likes to blip out for a minute or two sometimes. This unit will NOT turn itself back on. So some morning I walk in, and the bin is less than full because the power in the house went out briefly. Push the power button, reset my timer to +4 and I'm good to go. I wish it had an auto-power feature to turn itself back on. I may add a small UPS to avoid the power interruptions, and to prolong the life on the unit.

Great Little Ice Machine at a Good Price Point
The Ice Maker looks great and makes ice at a very good rate. It has been working great for three months now. Hoping for a long service life. I'm very satisfied with the performance of the ice maker so far.

Great ice machine. Occasionally needs some tinkering
It’s lasted longer than I expected! Bought this ice machine July 2024 and I figured I’d “break even” if it lasted a year. It’s March 2026 and this thing is still working well. That’s approximately 20 months. CONS- You’ve gotta “fiddle” with it. It’ll show a malfunction code and stop making ice. I usually unplug it for 30 minutes and will start making ice again after it resets. Gotta clean it every 2-4 weeks. These machines get nasty and moldy pretty quickly. I’ll spray the insides down with vinegar and then hose it out. I should probably clean it more often. Air compressor or fan varies in speed during the day. It sounds like the ice machine is about to self destruct, but it keeps on working fine! Overall it’s a good ice machine for the price. I use it daily for filling my work cooler. You’ve gotta pay attention to it and the error codes (E2 I think). I have to unplug it and let it reset every 10-14 days or so…then it works fine again. It’s worked well for the sub 400 dollar price I paid. Hoshizaki under counter ice machines were approximately 2200 dollars years ago when I bought this Euhomy unit for less than 400 It’s kept my work cooler filled with ice for nearly 20 months. I expect it to to die any day now, but overall I’m pretty satisfied with this ice machine.

Avoid This If you actually need to produce ice cubes.
I had an Edgestar 60/lb/24hr machine that produced exactly that in perfect shotglass cubes for 10 years sitting outside in the elements in the fla Keys. I paid exactly the same price as this unit. This one was easy to set up and use. They could have made the door open completely, It sticks out 4" when fully open, you have to bend over or sit on a bucket to see inside or remove ice. It is inside in my shed, no way I would expose this to anything. The bin holds exactly 21 lb of ice when completely full, not 33. It takes 10 hours to fill the bin so in 24 hrs you get less thn 50 lb. The ice comes out in blocks not cubes that you have to break apart. Disappointed to say the least but I didn't expect this. I don't expect it to last. Not worth the hassle of sending it back. I'll probably sell it or give it away. You get what you pay for with this one. Wish they still made the Edgestar.

Nice productive little machine
Hooked the ice machine up and have had it running for a day. None of the reviews mentioned the inside ice hopper dimensions, which I was curious about: Front to back: 12” Width: 15” Bottom to front lip: 10 ½” Bottom to ice maker trip switch: 12” Yes, it looks small and measures smaller than I would have liked. Ran it overnight on +6 (highest setting for full cubes) and it held two full bags plus another 1/3 bag. I purchased the “Pinnacle Mercantile Plastic Ice Bags 10 Lb. with Draw String Closure Pack 100”. The bags are thinner than I would like, but held up to dropping a frozen bag of cubes a few times. I think they will be reusable one more time before they start to get holes. Perhaps if one was careful and gentle, they could be reused more. I am not careful or gentle so am looking for a sturdier bag. As it filled, the ‘blocks’ did not break up, so I had a lot of full blocks to break up before I could bag. I used a metal 24 Ounce aluminum scoop to bang on them. Not the easiest thing to do in such a small space. An 8 ounce ballpeen hammer did a much better job. I was worried about cracking the inside casing, but solved that below. With the cube set on “6” it made a cycle in 22 to 25 minutes. As others mentioned, it produces a surprising amount of ice. If one kept on top of it, I could see 6+ of the bags per day. My boat needs are 4 bags/day and this will more than keep up with that. The ice does melt in the hopper. Overnight (8 hours from empty hopper) at 75 environment degrees (as reported on the machine screen) there were 7 cups of drain water. The ice was ‘wet’ when bagged, but bagged and put in the freezer like that, it easily broke up by dropping the bag on the floor, once on each side. Pretty standard even for purchased ice. Noise level: It is pretty noisy. A louder than expected hum of the compressor/fan. Annoying if you are in the same room, not too noticeable if in an adjacent room. The blocks dropping in an empty hopper is a bit noisy. The machine came with nice foam padding in the packaging. I cut a piece to fit in the bottom (cutting out for the drain) and that eliminated that. It has not been a pain to scoop off of and I figure to take it out every few days and replace with a second one I made, to let the first one air out. This does, however, prevent the first blocks from breaking up as they hit the bottom though. The ballpeen hammer works well and with the foam padding on the bottom, I believe I have helped eliminate the possibility of cracking the inside casing. Overall, I initially give this little bugger a 5 rating. Time will tell how well it holds up. Came very well packaged, no damage. Hooked up easily, came with more than enough parts needed. I bought the recommended in-line filter, so have a ton of extra waterline. Screen is pretty simple to use. They are one touch buttons, no “menu” to scroll though to find something. Only negative so far is the height of the opening. It really needs to be raised to make scooping out easier. Could use a larger holding bin also, but with about an actual 25# of ice storage, fine for my needs Yeah, they say 33# but that would be all blocks broken up and manipulating the cubes to fill the hopper. Not going to happen in real life. Front grill, top and back are metal. Thin gauge, but still metal as advertised. Sides, door and frame are plastic. Fairly heavy plastic, but I would not put this in a heavy abuse location. Plastic door does slide up and lock open, is not removable. For my use, needing 4 bags/day for boat fishing, this will fit the bill. I can accomplish this bagging twice a day. For the other retired bachelors who go fishing every day, this is how I set mine up. Spare bathtub. Put 2x6’s across the tub to set the machine on, resting on pieces of the packing foam to cushion and prevent slipping. Puts the opening at a much more comfortable level for scooping out. Feed the filter/machine from the shower head, with a shutoff to the feed and separate shutoff for the shower spray. Drain water goes into the tub. I can clean the inside using the shower spray. I capped the tub faucet because in time, I know it will leak and I don’t need it. Hanging work light as it is easier to see inside the machine. Dropped ice while bagging falls into the tub.

Review on Euhomy Commercial Ice Machine
Hello I am from the Bahamas and i am an entrepreneur, I was interested in buying an ice machine because i sell beverages on the road, and stumbled across this product, based on the reviews. I was a bit skeptical at first because of the bad reviews so I asked a friend and also my dad what were their opinions, my dad told me to give it another week (decision making process) and my friend told me to get this. So I got this the following week, as was advised from my friend, as this was and probably still is number #1 top Commercial ice machine and a fast seller. The installation wasn't all too hard, despite me having no experience in plumbing nor electrical, it took back and forth trips to the hardware store and probably about $300 in labor and supplies which comprised of the electrical and plumbing work of course. After the installation was completed I gave it an additional 12 hours prior to starting it up to ensure the PVC glue cured well, hence the machine received more than 24 hours in an upright position as stated (advised) on the front facing. I started the machine the next day and allowed it to self-clean for 20 minutes before making the first batch of ice. Everything sounded normal, however during this phase i thought the machine encountered a problem due to the length of time it took to fill up with water (flashing arrow indicating machine is filling up) to my avail that eventually disappeared and the machine cleaning phase had completed and it went into ice making mode automatically. All i did was watch as the ice was being slowly made, i stepped out of the shed to do some other work around the house and came back to see what was the state of it, it was flashing "08 min" indicating 8 minutes left before the completion of the first batch of ice. The ice fell into the bin( a bit loudly), but i didn't mind all i wanted was ice. There it was my first (premature formed) batch of ice. After witnessing it dispense the first batch, i left it alone for 2-3 hours, coming back however i was shocked to see how little ice it had made. I then began to observe it more closely to discern exactly what could be causing it to make premature ice and not fill up. I noticed after every batch of ice that was made, the dispensing tube would wet the bin up (that the ice would drop in) and sort of defeat the purpose of what the machine was intended to do(make ice). Immediately i contacted customer support, and was advised to send videos accompanied with other information. Willow responded in about under a day, after all it was over the weekend so i had assumed company hours was offline at the time, fortunately i didn't had to wait until Monday for a response and got a message from Willow @ Euhomy customer support on sunday. Willow said the tube letting out the water above the ice trays was not positioned properly and if i would not mind to rotate the tube where the holes (nine of them) would point downwards. I did that (very easy to do) and started the machine again. WaLah ! :) Happy Boy, Ice was now maturely being produced and was not melting down after every completed cycle. I will upload pictures and a video. The machine has been running almost 7 days str8 so far it has encountered one (E2) error, but i think that was because the bin being full of ice held down the white flap for a while (presumably speaking). I am pleased that with this product and would advise other people to buy it as well, customer service is quite reputable. I wanted to upload the video of what it was doing prior to the fix but i could of only uploaded 1 video. ~ Additional note: Makes a TON of ice ~ Update: Excellent Customer Support, I'd recommend this product or any Euhomy product to anyone interested in ice machines(No wonder they are #1 in commercial ice machines ^_^), just based on their customer support reliability. ~SIX STARS ~

Fault machine
Would not recommend for commercial use. Ice machine keeps on shutting off and ice is freezing up and clogging the maker. Warranty is only 30 days through amazon. Stuck with a faulty machine
