I'm trying to cover up fiberglass sound insulation for a soungdabsorption panel. I don't want to see the fiberglass.** A: I would say yes depending on the back ground color. I just used this on a bass cabinet I built. Keep your eyes peeled I will post a review here shortly with a sea foam green amp. **Q: does the material have any vertical and horizontal stretch?** A: Both. We doubled up the fabric and used it to cover a subwoofer. **Q: Can it repel water for outdoor speaker use?** A: I wouldn't know but doubt it. **Q: Is this fabric thin enough to allow airflow from AC return?** A: My opinion is that it would allow air flow , however it would be significantly restricted.
