The company FAAY makes such beautiful hand made teak utensils. These are a little too large for soup spoons, but I use them for serving, as well as for dry goods, spooning out flour and such to measure while I am cooking or baking. I can even leave one in my dry goods containers without fear of chemicals leaching into my flours, seeds or coffee. I have a whole collection of FAAY utensils, including some left-handed ones they offer... and the group looks so professional in a container on my kitchen counter. This purchase supports a small business that produces well made teak utensils with no chemicals.... and they are NOT made in China.

Love the quality of these spoons. Shipped quickly. Unfortunately, I found the bowl too deep to enjoy creamed or thicker soups. More of a tip or sip spoon. Would be nice for mostly broth soups.

Beautiful, perfectly shaped but they need some sort of coating, oil, etc. as the finish wears off even with hand washing and they become dry, no longer smooth. Even after oiling them, the coating still comes off.

a friend turned me on to these... for playing!! they sound great, she is a professional spoonist, and has tried many different types and sizes... these are really well made and sound great.

These are lovely. Well designed with a deep bowl shape so you can get a good bite of soup or food on there. I do have to re-oil them regularly to maintain their appearance but I feel better about that than I would eating hot liquids with a wood spoon that has a questionable varnish. These spoons are JUST wood. There is no varnish/protective layer and that is perfect for me. I like that I can eat hot food without burning myself with the utensil!

Extremely well-crafted. I was looking for hard wood soup spoons that had no polyurethane or anything of the nature applied and I received exactly that! No complaints whatsoever. Photo shows the spoons after some polish sanding and wood wax applied.
