Easy assembly and lots of fun.

Bought this for my son’s eighth birthday. He’s only used it twice because his birthday was the end of November and we live in Vermont which means snow in winter. But he did find an old bottle cap a couple inches underground. Not treasure but he he was excited that it worked. He waved it under our car and I noticed that it picked up the metal from the car above the detector. So, having only used it twice it seems to work pretty well. I will say the bag to store it in needs to be a couple inches longer. I can barely get the zipper closed once the detector is in the bag. My son tried first and thought it didn’t fit. I was able to get it to work but kids will have difficulty with that. We used the little shovel to dig up the bottle cap and it worked fine. I liked that it came with tools, something I hadn’t thought of. We’ll have to see how well it works summer but it seems good. Just wish the storage bag was bigger.

This meant a lot to me and in the end my child got a new metal detector in the correct color he wanted. You will not be disappointed in this metal detector at all. It is made very well and it works perfectly. As an adult, when it comes to metal detectors and other technology, color is usually not a big deal for me unless I am buying it for a special needs kiddo on the autism spectrum who has sensory processing disorder. Given that this is a child's metal detector the listing really ought to mention whether the colors are yellow, blue, or random, etc. At the time I purchased this there was no mention anywhere on the listing of any color deviation from the blue metal detector that is pictured. What I received was in the exact same branded box with the same model number on the box as the last one that I got last year. The one I receive last year was blue. This one is yellow. This was meant to be a gift for a child with special needs. Yellow just will not do. So I am returning this one for inaccurate website description and making the suggestion for Amazon or the seller to fix their website listing.

Bought this for my young grandchildren. Easy to put together and they had fun finding treasures (nails and screws) in the backyard. Works very well. Will be taking it on vacation in Utah in search of “gold and diamonds” 😊. Definitely worth the price and so far has been accurate.

**** fantastic customer service. They immediately reached out and helped resolve the issue. Very thankful for them. So frustrating. I ordered one for my daughter for Christmas. The first one came with a broken stem. They wouldn’t replace it, so I had to return it and order another one (and the price had gone up). Got the 2nd one in and it wasn’t broken, so I thought we were good. My daughter opened it Christmas morning and the upper and lower stems will not attach. It just slides right out. We were supposed to leave for the beach tomorrow where she was going to use it and now it’s worthless. Very frustrating.

I bought this for my five year old grandson and naturally had to try it out first. Within a few minutes around my yard I found a 20 year old can of Dr Pepper and a nail, both buried at about 4 inches in soil. I also located some buried cable and telephone lines. I can’t wait to give it to my grandson so he can try it at the beach. Setup was very simple. 9V battery placement easy. Detector sound is good. Pinpointing good. Carry bag and tools a plus. Very lightweight.

Great fun for kids at the beach, adjustable so both my 3 year old and 9 year old took turns using….
