Best FPS mouse..ever!
I have owned them all and I mean all. My favorite gaming mouse overall for the last 10 years has been the tournament winning wheel mouse optical from Microsoft. Nothing really has compared although I do use a kinzu for non accel games. But now all bets are off. The g100s is a tournament grade mouse. That means as soon as Quake/CS and other fps players realize how good this g100s is they will flock to it. No prediction, no acceleration. Flawless tracking. Absolutely flawless. I cannot find fault with the sensor even for lowest sensitivity players. The shape has always been awesome and the weight just feels balanced. I was going to take the 15gram weight out of it but decided against it as it felt perfect. Overall the quality of the mouse is solid and the mouse skates are teflon. The only complaint I have is the cord seems cheesy and rigid but in terms of performance how can anyone not give this mouse a 5/5? This is my new fps mouse out of literally 50+ mice and I'm the toughest critic and never settle for less.

Great basic mouse with possible left button reliability issue
I've been using this mouse for about 2.5 years on my home PC primarily for internet browsing and occasional photo editing. The good: If you're looking for a basic mouse with a basic shape at a fair price, this is a great option. Ambidextrous/symmetric design, left and right button, clickable scroll wheel, and a DPI button that changes the sensitivity between three settings. The DPI button is probably more for gaming, but I also occasionally found it useful for photo editing. It performed well and felt great until... The bad: This might be just a problem with my particular mouse, but a few weeks ago I noticed the left mouse button became unreliable. I thought it was just me at first, but it has been slowly getting worse. I confirmed the driver is updated, used a different mouse on my PC, and used this mouse on a different PC to confirm there is an issue with the actual mouse. It advertises a 20 million click left/right button lifespan, but I do not believe I have come close to that number with my relatively light use. Overall it's a great basic mouse, and my issue might be a one off. It's very fairly priced, and I guess it did last almost three years. That said, other reviews seem to suggest similar issues, and mice I have used lasted much longer without an issue so I was a bit surprised to encounter a problem this quickly.

Excellent mouse for FPS games and overall use!
This mouse is pretty much perfect. It has a flawless sensor with no snapping, jitter, or prediction. I vastly prefer this mouse over the more expensive G400s that seems to get more attention and praise. This mouse is the successor to the G100, which is the successor to the MX300 mouse that I loved dearly. I have had this product for a year now with no issues. I am not crazy about the coating on this mouse, but it beats the glossy type coating that gets smeared with finger grease. I play a lot of FPS games and this handles them all well. There are some reviews here praising the Wheel Mouse Optical, I have that mouse and it is overrated, plus the DPI is not adjustable. I usually keep my DPI around 1000, since 800-1000 is the typical range that I play at. I would recommend setting the DPI as a multiple of 500 to have the absolute best tracking.

Great gaming mouse with a few minor flaws
PROS -Excellent sensor with flawless tracking -Lightweight -Comfortable, ambidextrous shape -Logitech software is easy to use CONS -The $40 price point is a bit high for what you get. -No on-board memory -Clicking doesn't feel as good as other mice. A bit stiff and mushy. -Somewhat stiff cable TRACKING The number one reason to buy this mouse is because of the nearly flawless optical sensor, which is quite excellent. It has a 500hz polling rate and up to 2500DPI (adjustable in 250DPI increments). I would even say that it is superior to many laser sensors found in more expensive "flagship" mice. Of course laser sensors allow for higher DPI, but they are plagued with problems that most optical sensors don't have, such as built in positive acceleration. Quite frankly, many of these laser mice are simply overkill when it comes to DPI. What is the point of having an 8200DPI sensor when most people don't use more than 2000? It's also worth considering that most professional gamers don't even use DPI that high. Thus to anyone considering this mouse, do not be turned off by the fact that it "only" has an optical sensor with 2500 DPI. It is probably a superior choice to a mouse with a laser sensor. COMFORT Of course this is always a subjective issue, but I find this mice to be very comfortable. It is a smaller mouse, so it is better suited for people with smaller hands, or who use a claw/fingertip grip. If you have big hands and are looking for a mouse that you can put your whole palm around, this may not be the mouse for you. The build quality seems pretty good, but I don't like the feeling of the left and right click. It seems more mushy and stiff than the mouse buttons on my G9X. Of course this may not bother most people, but it's something I definitely notice and dislike. Another thing about this mouse that I'm not a fan of is the cable, which is a bit stiff. SOFTWARE Although not required, the the Logitech Gaming Software allows further customization of the mouse. I personally changed the DPI shift button to something else, as I never really need to change my DPI in-game. Overall I find the software really handy and easy to use. No complaints here. SUMMARY Despite the previously mentioned flaws, I would recommend this to anyone looking for a smaller gaming mouse with great tracking. Although there are some shortcomings such as the stiff cord and less-than impressive buttons, these are easily outweighed by the many positive aspects of this mouse.

Great mouse at a great cost
I love Logitech products, and came to this mouse from a Logitech G5. At first I was concerned about the fact that I "lost" features, such as more options and more settings, but this has been a great mouse for the price! I have smaller hands, and I think the G100s is near perfect. Yes, more features and buttons are always nice, but considering I paid less than $20 for it, I'm extremely happy! I will also mention that I am a gamer, and for a budget gaming mouse, the G100s is a good buy. Very responsive and comfortable for long periods of gaming. The variable DPI settings are also nice, and make this a step up from the general public Logitech offerings, but at the same low price.

The buttons start double clicking even when you single click. Happened within a year, good thing the warranty is of 3 years.

Great mouse with a great sensor. Probably nothing better out in the market in terms of value. The only problem with this mouse for me is the shape. Even as someone that prefers ambidextrous mice, the mouse is a bit too angular in the wrong areas but considering the sensor equipped in this mouse you can't expect more for the price.
