It is well weighted. The user achieves solid contact with minimal effort. **Q: Is this fungo bat good to use for softball I/O?** A: Honestly I coach both 12u baseball and 15u softball and I wouldn’t use it for softball. The extra weight of the 12” softball and light fungo makes it a poor combo for consistent ball flight especially hitting fly balls. Grounders I guess it is fine. I get better results hitting infield with one of my old slow pitch bats. It has plenty of weight but not too heavy to manipulate so that I can hit hard and soft ground balls at will along with high fly balls and line drives. The fungo has a really small sweet spot. It is really more for baseballs. All that said this fungo is good compared to a wood fungo in my opinion. It’s light enough to use for an extra long practice. Takes very little effort to get the ball to my outfielders. It’s missing that wood fungo feel, but still feels nice to connect on a good pop up to center. I had been eyeing this for quite some time, and finally bit the bullet. It was a little more than I wanted to spend on a fungo bat, but it was worth the money!
