I would buy again.
This product turned a what could have been a horrible experience of stripping the paint from these kitchen cabinet doors into a manageable project, the trim was a concern to me. I thought it was wood but it is plastic or bakelite glued on, it was strong enough to remove the layers of paint that filled the trim and restored the detail to maintain it's true appearance, but gentle enough that it didn't loosen the adhesive that held it to the doors or softened the plastic and distort the details. It was nice to be able to use a garden hose to wash the residue away followed with a wipe down of denatured alcohol to evaporate the water and moisture. Very effective when applied and covered with plastic to control evaporation and allowing the chemistry to do its work, the wait time to remove the bubbles paint didn't take long at all. The trim and corners did require several applications, a pick and patience to remove the paint. The effectiveness and gentleness make what at first was expensive but this product turned out to be a true value given what it was up against. I used 2-1/2 bottles for front and back, 8 cabinet doors, 5 drawer fronts and 2 filler blanks on sink cabinet. All parts were laying flat, no vertical applications was used, so I can't comment on that.

Works great and doesn't smell too aweful
I am refinishing all my kitchen cabinets, and I am on my second bottle of lift off! for being a Water Based product it works fantastic and the Smell isn't unbearable as you have with most solvent VOCs. being water based it is also easier to rinse off and clean up.

Not a good choice for removing older varnish
I bought this product to strip varnish off a 110-year old door. It removed a shade of the varnish but not by no means got the substance off. I ding this product one star for not having made clear that it will not work for older varnishes, such as the one I was trying to remove (which may not have been water-borne). I ding it another star for the odor, which was quite unpleasant (like a very strong nail polish remover), and not "low odor" by any means. I ended up buying and finishing the job with another "eco-stripper" that was better and cheaper, with much less odor, too. If you're stripping an old varnish, go for an eco stripper that uses dimethyl-adipate. It will work much better than this acetone-based one.

Didn't hold up advertisement
Must agree with another review. This product does not work on older varnish, found it very messy, after three very generous applications with little results I read the label again for cleaning off the residual jell--nothing on the bottle. So thinking it's water based--must be water clean off. Got a pail of warm water, a little "Dawn" dish soap, 'if it cleans up the ducks--it's might work here', and a fine scrub brush proceeded to wash my walnut library table leg down then dried good and will proceed with chemical varnish remover. My opinion --- would not recommend this product especially if you are working with antique furniture.reading down through some of the other things folks have used this product for---I just might pull the bottle out of the garbage--you never know!

The best non-lethal stripper I've tried
I used this for detail work (under baseboard heating) while refinishing floors. Took two passes, but it did an exellent job removing old varnish that oil- and citrus-based products ended up smearing around to the point where I could apply stain. The drawback: water-based cleanup is delightfully easy, but of course it raises the wood grain and can leave marks on the wood when using a oil-based stain, I just used a pre-conditioner with good results. Water-based stains were another matter. I tried water-based conditioner to no avail and ended up having to re-sand the washed area. The fumes were minimal, and the stripper did little or no damage to nitrile gives.
