SheaMoisture Bar Soap for Troubled Skin African Black Soap Cleanser with Shea Butter 8 oz

I bought this SheaMoisture African Black Soap for Troubled Skin for my son’s acne and it really helps. He’s been using it as his daily face and body cleanser, and we’ve noticed fewer breakouts and less irritation. His skin feels cleaner but not stripped or dry, thanks to the shea butter. The bar lathers nicely, lasts a long time, and has a mild, natural scent. It’s gentle enough for everyday use and has become a staple in his routine. Great natural option for troubled skin. Highly recommend!

Not exactly sure if I’m experiencing the benefits of, but it does seem to soothe my skin from mild irritation and it smells extremely lovely..

Great product. Nice smell - velvety feel & great lathering! I use it on my hair & itchy scalp too & it definitely gets rid of the dirt & grease. So happy to have finally found a product that helps with my painful flares. I finish off with a protective layer of shea butter to hold in the healing moisture.

Word of warning, this is not real African black soap. So if you're looking for the real deal, move on elsewhere. I've gone to the dermatologist regularly for "typical" acne that was always kept under control by prescription products. In my early 20s, I developed cystic acne around my jawline due to my hormones going out of whack. I was prescribed some pills and sulfuric-based facial wash. That face wash made me gag and tear up, literally, every time I used it. And it seemed to have been making my acne worse! On a whim, I bought this product. I've seen people rave about it online so I decided to try it. The first time I used it, my face felt very soft and clean. I used it twice a day, along with witch hazel, and I would say that within 4-5 months, the cystic acne went away. I still get the occasional pimple and I wouldn't say that my skin is now super clear. But I don't get any big pimples anymore, just a small one here and there. I can't say that this soap helps much with dark spots though, unfortunately. But aside from that, I think this soap is wonderful! Based on other reviews, it's clear that it's not for everyone though. So use at your own risk. I do have a couple of tips. Sometimes when I wear heavy makeup, I feel like this soap doesn't do as good of a job of cleaning my face if I use solely my hands to clean. That's when a facial cleansing brush comes into play. I use a big knife to cut the soap up into 6 pieces. I find the small pieces easier to use and more hygienic. I wrap up the pieces I'm not using yet with parchment or wax paper and place it inside a Ziploc bag. I place the soap on top of a soap saver to keep it dry and not slimy-feeling. It can leave a black residue but just wipe it away with water and it goes away. Overall, I am a fan of this product. After about 1.5 years of use of simple soap and witch hazel, my skin is looking really pretty darn good! So great job, Shea Moisture! I am still a big proponent of going to a dermatologist and letting them handle whatever skin issues ails you though... Haha.

A vast improvement over the white shea moisture bar of soap. Its like coconut something. That stuff leaves your skin stripped of all moisture. This is much better and doesn't leave you as dry. You still need a moisturizer afterwards but this cleanses you well. My only complaint is 1. Because its black you will have grey/black in color residue all over your show and curtain. 2. It has a playdough esque smell to it. Its not awful but smells weird.

I use this with my African sponge net and my skin is so happy. It's rich lather makes my skin feel moisturized, softer and my dryness is gone. It's a great value for the price and it lasts forever. Easy to use and I love the limited ingredients.

This product is the best i have used for my troubled { eczema} dry skin. over the years i was hoping to find a product that i could use and see , less dry patchy/dry itchy spots on my body. the moisture works immediately and lathers very well. The only problem is that it doesn't last long, need a thicker bar.

Twice I've ordered this and twice I've received a different Shea Moisture item. While this soap works well, it's for calming and moisture, it's not what I wanted. If they don't have what you order, no replacement should be sent without your approval. Seriously, who is going to bother returning a $6.00 bar of soap? Is that what they are counting on??

Sale care pero utilizo una pastilla al año. Es un todo en uno para la ducha, cuerpo y pelo sin problemas. Aunque el cabello solo lo limpio con jabón una vez a la semana o así. Huele cremoso, a todo el mundo que coge la pastilla y la huele le enamora.

Soap smells amazing not overpowering but really nice,I love a good smelling any thing, the bar is so big it’s will last a long time, it also lathers really well.Wish the soap itself was wrapped in the package but I’m happy with the purchase, and will purchase more.

Ich habe mir diese Seife nach langer Recherche von Erfahrungen bestellt, um meine eigenen Erfahrungen zu machen. Hier in Deutschland scheint das Produkt noch nicht ganz so weit verbreitet zu sein, denn ich habe größtenteils Amerikanische Bloggerposts etc. gefunden. Ich benutze diese Seife nun seit knapp zwei Wochen und arbeite sie mit einer elektronischen Gesichtsbürste ein und Pflege die Haut danach mit Aloe Vera Gel. Mein Hautbild hat sich stark verändert : feiner, reiner und nicht mehr so fettig. Die Haut fühlt sich sauber und gepflegt nach dem Waschen an. Der Duft erinnert irgendwie an Banane, aber keinesfalls unangenehm. Es scheint, als würde die Seife lange halten, da ich nach 2 Wochen täglicher Anwendung morgens und abends lediglich eine kleine Ecke des Stücks gebraucht habe. Klare KAUFEMPFEHLUNG !
