Nice seat but at 200lbs and 5'8" it's still a little too narrow for my comfort. It worked okay until I got the Bell Sports Comfort 950 Noseless Bicycle Seat. That seat is 12.75" across the top seam to seam and felt much better to me personally. I would have liked it even better is the seat was just flat across the top but it the best seat so far and I have tried 4 seats after the original. **Q: Is smallness of this seat a real issue(reviews)?How is this seat small compared to the hard banana size(or tiny triangle) seats that come w/the bike?** A: I thought the same thing- I'm not sure why it matters how small this is when standard seats are a quarter of the size. It is much larger than the one my bike came with and it isn't as big as my behind but it's still world's better than standard. **Q: I am looking for a new seat because my old one is causing me testicular pains, would you recommend this?** A: get a good pair of bicycle shorts or liner with a proper chamois (its a sewn-in special crotch padding just for cycling); Its not the equipment its your gear. my husband thought he could just hop on a bike and go in comfort. (none of that sissy spandex) As a serious rider I had to introduce him to the chamois. if you're just running errands or taking short rides rides around the block it won't matter.If you take recreational trail or road rides of 10 miles or more or considering touring on a bike you'll need proper clothing to protect your assets. There are non spandex-y cargo style shorts with liners inside that have hidden chamois so you don't ever have to feel you have to wear spandex to look cool and be comfortable. You can also buy just the liner shorts with chamois to wear under your own favorite shorts or long pants. My husband rides trails with me now (30 miles or more) in comfort. Check REI or your bike shop or Amazon! BTW the chamois goes next to your body. they show the shorts inside-out on the mannequin so you can see how it contours to your body but the padding goes on the inside. NO undies! the liner is supposed to fit smooth against your body in place of underwear. if you wear tidy whities or boxers under the liner shorts the underwear fabric will bunch up and chafe and you will have a problem worst than death. I probably wont be ridding any marathons w/ this seat but who am i kidding i would not be doing that anyways. I am 6-1 & 375 lbs. I bought a bike to try and get a little more active but could not stand to ride the darn thing because it hurt every time i got on it. The traditional bike seat is not giving or forgiving in any way. I am firmly under the belief that the bicycle seat was initially invented as a medieval torture device and got placed on the bicycle as some sick joke....... Anyways, I have tried a few bicycle seats now trying to find something that would work and this seat has been the best all around seat in my opinion. Now don't take that to mean the most comfortable. Schwinn also makes a No Pressure Bicycle Seat. I'n my opinion that was the most comfortable one i tried out but it was hard to get used to because it was flatter and did not have the piece that goes between your legs. I know your thinking what is wrong with that???? Well i will tell you. You use your legs a lot more than you think for leaning & turning when ridding a bicycle and with this seat that is close to impossible since there is nothing to grip with your legs. In closing i would like to say i use both seats i have mentioned in this review and they are both equally good depending on the ridding you are going to do. If i am ridding around the neighborhood, down the road, or on the sidewalk i like to use the SCHWINN NO PRESSURE, but if i am ridding on a trail, off road, or up and down any crazy inclines i would prefer the SCHWINN QUILTED WIDE CRUISER SADDLE.
