These sleek body modal boxer briefs with body-defining fit feature ultra-soft modal fabric and contour pouch for maximum comfort. Sophisticated, sexy, body defining styles. Featuring a modal fabric blend that provides amazing comfort in ultra soft, smooth styles. Review: Comparison with ExOfficio and other Calvin Klein boxer briefs - I've tried many boxer briefs and this Modal is my favorite. Lightweight and exceptionally breathable (great for hotter weather), stretchy with medium snugness (not loose, not tight), and amazingly soft (much better than cotton), with a very comfortable microfiber waistband. I barely know that I'm wearing them, which to me is the best sign of a quality brief. What makes it great is the 92% modal fabric (a type of rayon that has some remarkable advantages over all other materials I've tried). Here are comparisons with other boxer briefs that I've tried: vs. ExOfficio GiveNGo: The ExOfficio has a slightly looser, less snug fit. It also had a big durability issue for me. Prior to washing (straight out of the box), I wore the ExOfficios in some regular jeans while doing some outdoor work, with lots of crouching. Because of the normal abrasion of the jeans on the briefs, the ExOfficio's mesh-like material frayed severely in multiple places. The Modal in comparison has a tighter woven, stronger, non-mesh fabric. Also, after a few washes, I've noticed that the ExOfficio has lost much of its initial softness. vs. Calvin Klein Steel Micro: The material is just as soft (maybe more so) as the Modal but a little heavier. It is more form fitting and snug and actually keeps things in place better than the Modal (which can have a slightly baggy appearance around the crotch). Very flattering smooth fit. Extremely comfortable and a little more durable as it is a bit thicker and more densely woven than the Modal (the fabric is also different -- a 89% nylon that Calvin Klein describes as a "steel microfiber"). Because of this though, it doesn't breathe as well. Another minor drawback is the big dramatic waistband, which can fold over easily accidentally because it is so wide. The Modal is noticeably cooler to wear in the warmer months (as is much more breathable), but the Steel Micro is my favorite brief for the colder months. vs. Calvin Klein Micro (or "CK One Micro"): This lightweight brief is has the tightest fit (a little too much so) of all other Calvin Klein models I've tried and makes the Modal seems almost loose in comparison. It's 89% nylon and soft but it's breathability is a bit less than the Modal. Also, after about a dozen washes, the fabric formed some minor pilling (little balls of fabric that stick to the brief) on the interior, mainly around the crotch area where the fabric is thicker. Not good. vs. Calvin Klein Microfiber: These briefs have a form fitted, snug and athletic look that is actually quite flattering and attractive. The problem is that, aside from being a little too tight for me, the 90% polyester blend is a relatively uncomfortable fabric. It feels MUCH different than the modal – scratchy, shiny and slippery (that feels odd next to jeans), and it doesn’t breathe as well. The Modal has a notably more comfortable, softer, more relaxed, "I barely know it's there" feel. vs. Calvin Klein Cotton Stretch Boxer Brief (3-pack): The softness on this brief doesn't remotely compare to the Modal. Despite being all cotton, they are surprisingly rough. They are also a tad heavy and constricting. They don't breathe that well. The "stretch" is also fairly pathetic; they are too tight and aren't nearly as forgiving as the Modal. Also, the waistband is awful -- it's on the tight side, and the fabric is extremely rough and irritating. They are much cheaper, but the Modal is on a whole different level of quality. vs. any cheap 100% cotton boxer briefs (including Calvin Klein models): Don't do it! They are cheap for a reason. Of the many that I've tried and owned, none are as soft as this Modal, plus cotton tends to be heavy and doesn't do well in warmer weather (once you start sweating, they don't dry out easily and then it feels like you are wearing a diaper). Also, if they aren't the stretchy kind, they tend to be excessively baggy in the crotch area (to accommodate different sizes). Spend the extra $ for a more flattering and comfortable fit. vs. trunks, and the ride-up factor: I recommend staying away from trunks, as their short length makes them prone to ride-up. The Modal has little to no ride-up, as is typical of most boxer briefs. Note that the Modal it is not super snug though, so the fabric can move around a *little* bit. I've owned this Modal for a while and for the most part, they are still like new. If they become looser with time, it is slight; in fact, I have one that is two years old and another I just purchased, and it is hard to tell them apart. I wash mine in cold water and line dry because I'm extra careful, but that probably isn't necessary (warm water and low dryer heat should suffice). Remarkably, there are still as soft as ever and have retained their color and shape after countless washes (these are typical qualities of the modal fabric). There has never been any fraying or pilling. Durability is very good, though one of the five I own one did develop a 1/4" hole in the back (but hasn't grown over many months, so I still wear it). Though the fabric is strong, it IS thinner than many other briefs, so it can be vulnerable to tears relative to the heavier briefs. Review: Love! - These are the best boxer briefs I've ever owned. Actually, they're the best undergarments of any kind that I've ever owned. I bought a red (cabernet) pair and a navy blue (arctic night) pair. I got them in medium, which is my usual size, and they fit great. I wanted to treat myself to a nice comfy pair of underwear after my usual Hanes boxer briefs started wearing out again. I'd buy those in bulk. I decided to give these CK Modal briefs a try since they were rated highly online - despite the price tag, which can be a bit discouraging. I decided to make the purchase, and I'm so glad I did. These are the most comfortable boxers I've had the pleasure of pulling up. The material feels so good. When it comes to color, my wife and I both like the red pair more than the navy blue. I was worried that they'd be tight based on the advertised pictures. I looked around online, and all the pictures of these boxer briefs make them look tight. I don't like tight. I suffocate easily down there. These look as tight on me as they do in the pictures, but they don't feel tight at all. They're incredibly comfortable and breathable. The 2 downers are (1) price as I've already mentioned and (2) no easy access opening for the urinal. I think number 2 does result in a more comfortable design, but just not as practical for business time. Despite the 2 downers, I'm still giving this 5/5 stars since (as I may have already mentioned) it's THE most comfortable pair of anything I've ever worn. If you can part with the dollars and cents on the price tag, get these! You won't be disappointed. I can't comment on durability yet as it's only been 3 months.

Very soft and comfortable, good form fitting underwear but not tight
Very soft and comfortable, good form fitting underwear but not tight. I normally wear boxer briefs, but more tailored pants show bunching or wrinkles in the legs. I end up having to straighten the legs of my underwear through the zipper. I bought the T-Shirt and liked the way it stayed tucked in and did not bunch under my dress shirts so I figured the underwear would probably provide the same benefits. I was right. This is exactly what I wanted. As far as durability goes, I feel certain that they will not last as long as heavyweight cotton Hanes or Fruit of the Loom boxer briefs, but that is not what I was looking for... These are great to wear under dress slacks or linen pants for a comfortable, unbunched, unwrinkled fit and feel. I am sure they will provide the same benefit under tight jeans, but the rough fabric of denim will likely cause them to wear in certain areas (like the crotch).

The Best if you can afford to keep buying them.
I really love these, they fit and feel great, the reason for the 4 stars is because they don't last as long (they are on the thin side) holes start to appear and because of the price it's just getting expensive and had to look elsewhere but If you can afford them or get them on sale these are great.

The best underwear out there
For a long time, I bought value packs of Hanes underwear. $8 for a pack of 3 - why bother paying extra to get one CK brief when I can get 9 pairs of underwear for the same price? Then I got one of these as a gift and slowly started replacing all the underwear I owned with these. I prefer boxer briefs since they feel like the best of both worlds. The support and tightness of a brief, but the style of boxers. The material holds elasticity to not ride up. The material is very breathable. These are silky smooth, soft, and form fitting. It's like wearing lotion. The male form isn't the most beautiful thing to see, but these are shaped well enough to look good on guys. There isn't a flap in front, which may or may not bother some guys, but the way this thing is cut and the way it makes a package look it worth the trade off. Guys can be vain too. It might not be Victoria's Secret sexy, but this is Victor's Secret and is about as flattering as a guy can get. I've washed these over and over and they are holding up very well. The elastic bands on the cheaper underwear from Hanes and other brands eventually wears out and begins to fray. I haven't experienced that with these boxers at all. Over time, I'm sure that these will make up for the higher cost since I haven't had to replace any of the CK underwear I have owned in the past few years. These are also very good for road warriors who need to pack light. They compress to almost nothing and are feather light. The micro modal material also dries very quickly, so for a road warrior/traveling businessman who is stuck for a few extra days more than expected, these can be quickly washed in a hotel sink at night and be dry a few hours later. Worth it for the price? Definitely. If you are a guy (or buying for one) who has never bought underwear outside of value packs from WalMart, try these out; just be prepared to buy more to replace your entire underwear drawer. I don't think I can even go back to the value packs of underwear. They issue that stuff to convicts in prisons to punish them for their crimes. A free man on the outside deserves to have good underwear.

Excellent for All Day Wear
I initially purchased 1 pair of these in small along with a few other brands including ExOfficio and Under Armour to try and find the best fit for me. I am 5'6 140lbs and have grown very tired of regular cotton boxer briefs that stretch out just minutes after putting them on. Compared to the 2 other brands that I tried as well as the cotton ones that I have used for several years now I can say that the Calvin Klein Modal Boxer Brief was by far the best in fit, comfort and all day wearability. I have since ordered 4 more pair in various colors and they all fit identically which is something I cannot say for inexpensive cotton brands. If you are in the market for a new pair of boxer briefs, do yourself a favor and give these a shot. I should also note that I wash them in cold water with like colors and dry them on low heat. I do not exercise in them as these are not in any way a performance oriented underwear. The legs do come up a bit during the day but is not uncomfortable, however they do not completely stretch out like cotton. Honestly, sometimes it feels like they are not even there. 5 out of 5 stars.

Underwear - I've been doing it wrong.
Growing up as a youngster, I wore the classic Hanes tighty whities. When I got to 7th grade, and had to change for gym class that became socially unacceptable. So, I switched to Tommy Hilfiger boxer briefs, and basked in my new found ballsack comfort and locker room swag. Unknowingly and unfortunately as a creature of habit, I stuck with this make and model of underwear for the next 20 years. I thought, underwear are all pretty much the same, what could I be missing? Well, friends, I'm here to admit that there have been significant upgrades to underwear in the past 2 decades, all of which I have been woefully ignorant of. After a long, hot, humid summer I finally got tired of wearing what felt like a wet diaper under my business suit. Sweat and 100% cotton with wool pants are not a great combination for comfort. Something had to be done, so I looked for some popular styles on Amazon, and settled on these Calvin Klein Men's Micro Modal Boxer Briefs. They are made of "modal", which is some kind of hybrid between rayon and cotton, that results in a silky smooth, lightweight, breathable, stretchy material. The result is a pair of underwear that cling to you like spandex, feel soft like silk, and are as cool as a cucumber. My suit pants don't bunch up anymore, I stay cooler, don't sweat as much, and feel more comfortable. I feel like I've entered the 21st century of underwear, and wanted to share incase any other guys like me haven't given this crucial piece of clothing enough thought and attention. They aren't cheap, but if you watch for sales you can get them for about $16 a pair, and are worth every penny. I only hope they last... EDIT: About 5 washes in, these started to lose some of their elasticity and got a bit loose. Also, they do start to get little lint ball type things on them, making them a little less smooth. The dealbreaker for me though, and the reason I don't buy more, is that they dont have a fly hole! It makes using the urinal a real pain in the butt. I have switched over to ex-officio brand boxer briefs, and like them even more!

Don't buy these boxers-- (I want them all. hee hee)
i stumbled upon these for sale at Von Maur 3.5 years ago. i know when it was because i was waiting for my youngest son to go off to college before i bought some new schmancy underwear and he cobbed it. this stuff is made of modal. if you know what that is you are better than me. what i know is this stuff is heavenly. smooth as a kiss from a baby. you hardly know its on and it doesn't sweat. I work at a rough job all day and it keeps me cool and pretty dry-- but who cares about that. You're not buying under armor you want to know if this stuff is any good. no. it is not good. it is flat out amazing, silky smooth and yummy. only thing is after 3 years the bottom cuff is separating. you put your leg in and the cuff pulls away a little more each time. you cannot fix it so i tossed a few pairs and am buying three new pairs each payday till i have enough, better hurry our I'll buy yours. oh, on final bummer in an almost perfect pair of briefs. i have these in boxers and full long pants., after a while something happens to the front of them., something, a coating or some part of the surface wears off and it looks like you sprayed the pants with something white. kinda yucky. but these suckers aren't cheap so with the long ones i'm wearing them backwards so people dont think i'm a perv or something. Wonderfully made. the shirts and shorts and longgy pants. all delicious.
