Game Changer
I’ve had the Waterport for a few months now and used it for the first time this past weekend. I’m not sure what happened to the hose port valve threading but I couldn’t get the attachment to stay on. Every time I pumped, the hose would leak then blow off. I looked closer at the threading and it looks like it was partially stripped so the attachment won’t stay on and if it does, it leaks and there’s no water pressure from the hose. I asked the seller (Scott) if I would be able to get a replacement if I send this one back? Or can it be fixed if possible? Scott said that shouldn't have happened and is sending me a replacement. Very good product and even better customer service.

Very handy!
I’ve used this on 2 trips now and it works great. I have a 2018 Jeep Rubicon and it fits snugly under the spare on the trailer hitch. It has to be put inside when I go off road but it’s compact enough to slide inside without taking much room. I highly recommend this for overland trips/camping.

Works as intended, some things to consider
Overall I like my unit, but like with all camping water systems it has it's drawbacks. Here are some things to consider before buying: 1. This does not come with a mount for a roof rack system AT ALL. They say universal mounting system, and while that is true to an extent, most of the components you need for most of the mounting options are sold separately. The only mount it comes with is the 2" hitch mount. I saw this in other reviews so I was expecting this but hoping it wasn't the case. 2. This thing pretty much requires an air compressor to use. Due to basic physics, if you fill it near full, it will run out of pressure quickly, because there is not as much room in the tank to fill with compressed air. I found that I would need to re-pressurize my unit at about half tank to get the remaining water out. You CAN hand pump it, but keep in mind that option is not for the impatient, lazy or the limp wristed and lemme tell you I am at least 2 of 3 of those on a GOOD day. 12v air compressor is almost a must for this unit. 3. How long do you want to be out, and can you carry extra water with it? This thing really is a DAY tank, it is meant for going and rinsing your feet off at the beach, or for a campsite where you have access to water daily. if you want to get multiple days of showers and dishes out of this thing you will either a.) need to buy one of the larger WaterPORT systems (which really kind of detracts from the benefits of the tanks portability/versatility versus Yakima Road Shower,) or b.) bring extra jerry cans to pour into the tank, which honestly is not a bad modular option and will be the option I go with in the future. I had to refill this twice on a 3 day, 2 night trip. Things I liked about the tank: -Water pressure is intense (Drawback being it eats through water faster.) -Portable and versatile -Easy to fill from spigot or hose -Hitch mounting option comes in clutch on my new truck -Black color so water heats naturally -The hose and quick lock components are a bit more robust than the reviews led me to believe. Although you do have to be careful when tank is under pressure. I wonder if WaterPORT upped their build quality after some bad reviews -At the end of the day, it did do the job for pretty darn cheap

40 psi max folks!
I read one reviewer who said they pressurized it to 60 psi and had a seal fail. There is a warning label that says 40 psi max. I have only used it a few times, but I'm impressed with how long it maintains a pressurized spray. I think I only had to re-pressurize it once to empty the tank. My issue is how to mount it. I don't have a roof rack and it will break if I use it on my trailer hitch off-road because of the height from the ground to the tank. No issues with on-road use with a trailer hitch. My friend has the larger version on his roof rack and WOW, warm/hot water shower heated by the sun is fantastic! For now I carry it inside my car and fit it to the hitch when in use. Sadly no solar heated water 😢 Might be the entire reason to get a roof rack.

Manufacturing defect in the threads of the cap. Seal fails and leaks. No way to repair.
Bought three 3.8 gallon units. That's $1,000.00 worth of water containers. Two have had the seal fail at the bottom of the threads for the cap after less than 20 uses. I've lost $600.00 in less than two weeks. Waterport advertises tanks can be pressurized up to 40 psi via the valve stem. I used a compressor to pressurize to 25 pounds, no more. Checked my pressure regulator and it is accurate so I am not over pressurizing. First tank failed after 3 weeks of use. Second tank just failed after 2 weeks of use. Have not tried the third one yet. Shame because it's a great idea. These first two were not manufactured properly. Not sure if it is systemic to all, or a frequent problem. Mine were cool for a very short amount of time. That's a lot of money to waste.

Very good investment... But...
Good quality of the materials. The only things I regret: 1. the connectors are directly screwed in the plastic. I don't know how long they will hold the pressure. 2. The safety valve doesn't work!!! I checked the pressure with a gauge and I saw my compressor keeping going up until 50 PSI accidently and the safety valve didn't open. I will have to install a regulator, it's just sad this kind of regulator isn't integrated, and that the safety valve doesn't work.

You need this
4gal of easily pressured water and a 7’ hose that mounts on my hitch or roof rack? No brainer. The waterport is amazing. Get one right now. So far have used on 14 days of excursions and it’s the best thing ever. Huge step up from rotopaks and pouring wash water. I wouldn’t put any liquid in here that would be consumed, like the instructions say you can, it’s plastic. Don’t drink plastic.

Great mounting options, portability.
The mounting options really puts this several steps above the other competition. Being able to have this on my hitch when I have a RTT and an awing on my roof is really convenient. The portability of it is the best thing about it. Carrying it out and around your campsite is great, so you don't create a muddy mess at the base of your vehicle like you would with a roadshower because those stay attached your vehicle. The tank feels strong and sturdy, the pressure gets the job done. Couldn't recommend it enough.

Not as shown in the product picture
Product got imported from the US. Bought it because I thought it was a whole set, as this was shown in the description picture. The pump cap was NOT included. So I will have to spend another 50 EUR to make my water port usable for offgrid camping. All in all this is way too expensive for just a water canister.

Not a full kit as shown on the pictures
Beware that you wouldn't receive a full set with the pressurized tap, hitch bracket and holster. The only bits I received with my order was the tank, the head shower and one hose connection, very disappointed when I received it as from the pictures and description it says it comes with all the accessories.

Super produit, mauvais vendeur
