And will fit a standard ukulele. There is a short shaft and a long shaft tuner that you can buy. Short shaft length is Min 3/8" Max 7/16" Long shaft length is Min 1/2" Max 9/16" If you need the long shaft go to this website, "Pohakushop" and look for the Grover tuners. I could not find the long shaft ones on Amazon. The White and the Black are the same length. **Q: Will these fit a 1960's silvertone baritone uke? the peg head is 1/2". these are what tech support at grover recommended.** A: The peg head on my tenor uke was also 1/2". Measure the shaft hole for the string connector. Must be around 11/32" for the shaft to go thru. 3/8" will be to large. **Q: I drilled the holes to specs. When I went attach the tuners with the enclosed screws one one of the holes is so close to the stem hole it would split.** A: My procedure is usually: drill holes fit eh posts, press in the bushings, fit the tuners, use the tuner as a guide to drill the screw holes, make sure to use a depth stop for the screw holes, use soap on the screws when I put them in.I bought a set of brad point drill bits for drilling peg heads specifically. 1mm of drill bit wandering on my first uke almost messed up the whole deal. I still use a punch to mark the spots even with the brad point drills. Funky grain can push your bit all over the place. StewMac sells a stepped drill for peg head holes that keeps the hole on the back smaller to clear the screws. Not 100% on wether they have one for these tuners though. You could fake it with 2 different bits. Drill the larger hole to fit the bushing, then drill the smaller shaft hole the rest of the way through.Not really an answer, but not really a question. Hope the tips help. **Q: What is the difference between the original and special edition models? The photos look identical and there is nothing describing the diff if any.** A: I would say just the price. They didn't have it when I ordered. I would buy the originals and contact Grover. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice upgrade for a Cordoba Mini *by P***Y on July 22, 2018* I bought these to install on a Cordoba Mini (6-string guitalele) since the headstock and body are sized like a baritone ukulele (won't fit guitar heads). Fit was perfect albeit I had to redrill the lower screw hole (plugged the old hole with a toothpick). Well made: holds pitch and silky smooth turning. Viewed from the front these Grovers look the same as the cheap stock heads—just black knobs sticking out—but from the rear they're a nice visual upgrade: simple but attractive. The only minor gotcha is you need to buy two sets to upgrade a guitalele and have a couple pieces left over. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice Upgrade! *by I***L on October 6, 2017* One of the cheap tuners on my Luna concert Ukulele broke and these Grovers were a perfect replacement. Good quality and were an easy swap. The bushings that came with the set did not fit but no problem, I just reused the originals . The black buttons look good and the tuners work smoothly and hold tune. I need 2mm from plate to string hole. These were to short for my ukulele so I had to return them. Could not find the other Grover model like these with the 2mm that I needed. But I was impressed with the quality and look of these tuners. I ended up purchasing the BQLZR Chrome Tuning Pegs Machine Heads 2R2L For Ukulele 4 String that fit perfect.
