Grover 9NB Sta-Tite Ukulele Tuners, Nickel with Black Buttons

I bought these to install on a Cordoba Mini (6-string guitalele) since the headstock and body are sized like a baritone ukulele (won't fit guitar heads). Fit was perfect albeit I had to redrill the lower screw hole (plugged the old hole with a toothpick). Well made: holds pitch and silky smooth turning. Viewed from the front these Grovers look the same as the cheap stock heads—just black knobs sticking out—but from the rear they're a nice visual upgrade: simple but attractive. The only minor gotcha is you need to buy two sets to upgrade a guitalele and have a couple pieces left over.

One of the cheap tuners on my Luna concert Ukulele broke and these Grovers were a perfect replacement. Good quality and were an easy swap. The bushings that came with the set did not fit but no problem, I just reused the originals . The black buttons look good and the tuners work smoothly and hold tune. Nice upgrade from the originals

Impressed with the look and quality of these tuners. Unfortunately the main shaft is to low. I need 2mm from plate to string hole. These were to short for my ukulele so I had to return them. Could not find the other Grover model like these with the 2mm that I needed. But I was impressed with the quality and look of these tuners. I ended up purchasing the BQLZR Chrome Tuning Pegs Machine Heads 2R2L For Ukulele 4 String that fit perfect. Not as high quality as these Grover tuners but they work fine.

quality tuners at a very reasonable price. Shipped quickly and well packaged. Replaced cheaper plastic ones on a Ukelele. Maintains tune much better. Had to drill new screw holes but easy to do. Just take your time and line things up carefully with the head stock. Black tuning peg looks great.

They're very good tuners, but are shorter than what is usually on most ukuleles, except for sopranos.

Easy to install

I know there are ridiculously cheap alternative products available, no doubt made in China. These American made tuners are not very expensive and are indeed very high quality. Excellent feel and function. Buy with confidence. Cheaper isn't always better.

I'm usually happy with Grover tuning machines with the exception of these. The string posts aren't long enough. I specifically purchased these for ukuleles. I own 5 different brands of ukuleles and multiple ukes in three of the brands. In all 8 ukes that I have, I discovered that the Grover string posts are too short on all of the ukuleles. How can that be? Needless to say, I am disappointed. In the end, I used the posts from the not as good tuners on my new Grovers. That was a success but it feels a bit like a loss since I have Frankenstein tuners now. Just know what you're getting.
