Review: Can't beat the latch or the price - The tailgate latch on my 2002 Trailblazer with 445,000 original miles on it finally broke. I read about others breaking after less than 200,000 miles so I'm guess I'm really lucky I take care of my EXT. It was easier to install than I imagines because of how hard it was to get to the old broken one and remove it. The installation was very easy and it has been working great. I've been very happy with my Trailblazer and have always taken excellent care of my vehicles. I hope I can make it to 1,000,000 miles. Great actuator, great price and does the job.

**Q: Where does this part go on a chevy trailblazer LS and will it make my rear latch open again**
A: It goes on the bottom of the liftgate. It will make your gate open again if it is actually defective.  There is a pin with a plastic bushing that may have worn out.  You will have to take the interior trim out to see which particular part failed.  Its a relatively easy fix either way.

**Q: Wil this work for the right front passsenger side for a gmc 2004 envoy?**
A: Don't think so, the liftgate uses a different type of latch, search for passenger door lock actuator.

**Q: Does it work with power locks?**
A: Yes, it works with power locks.

**Q: I can hear but the handle to the lift gate won’t open it anymore suggestions !**
A: Check the wire bundle at the top of the gate if you can get it open, rear wiper wires are part of the bundle and usually also break inside the insulation at the flex point.

I bought this to replace the rusted/seized actuator in my Envoy. It fit directly in place of the original and has worked well for the handful of months since installation. Be sure that any adjustments to the linkages are made for the glass hatch lock before you put the panel back in place, mine needed a small adjustment, but it was easy to do and hasn't been an issue since.
