Review: Seems like a good buy - **NOTE**: Bear in mind that my ratings are provisional & subject to adjusting should an issue arise. I just got the 16 GB of DDR3 RAM yesterday & I installed it in the wee hours of the night. Installing it was relatively painless. It may be even easier for folks that have more experience than I do swapping PC parts in/out than I do (this was only the 2nd time I swapped out RAM, so I'm fairly inexperienced). I t did take a few minutes, if only because I don't exactly have a steady hand. The RAM seems to be working just fine. Now, here's the thing - I cannot say for sure if it was a RAM issue, just sheer coincidence, or there was user installation error, or something related, but not too long after I installed the RAM, powered up my PC, etc. I did get my 1st Blue Screen of Death & my PC restarted automatically. Since I am not positive as to what to attribute the BSOD to with 100% certainty, & (so far) it only happened once, I won't factor the BSOD into my rating/score. I haven't done anything too intensive just yet since installing the RAM - watched 1 video, installed 1 PC game (Panzer Dragoon Remake), & just briefly ran the game, So it's difficult to judge performance based on that. If need be, I will edit this review later on or write a separate addendum
Review: Works as advertised. - Ordered this to replace my old Corsair 1333mhz kit that I've had forever and lately had been dying to get rid of. This Patriot kit is noticeably faster; I could immediately tell the difference in a variety of tasks (gaming, video streaming, etc.) Even just doing something as mundane as dragging a window across the desktop or closing out of a game is noticeably smoother. One major benefit is that Patriot has a very high compatibility with motherboards in general; so if you have a DDR3 board, the Viper line is pretty much guaranteed to work with it. As a sidenote, some people will tell you that memory bandwidth doesn't make much of a difference, and I will tell you that's false. It largely depends on what you're doing and how low you were to start with, as there are diminishing returns the higher and higher you go. If you're at something like 1333mhz, jumping up to 1866mhz or more is a sizeable boost in bandwidth and will provide an immediate benefit to almost everything you do on your machine, especially if your CPU is overclocked. It can also provide a few more fps in many games as well (especially at higher resolutions where bandwidth becomes more important), if that's your thing. All in all, this Patriot RAM is pretty good stuff and I don't think you'll be disappointed.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Installed it, system sees it, ran tests, no apparent problems.
*by D***Y on August 9, 2023*

My system previously had two 4 GB DIMMs present. I took those out and replaced with four of these 8 GB DIMMs. The system came right up, sees all 32 GB, and runs great. I normally run Windows 10, but I also booted to Linux and ran a memory tester that writes and reads back all 32 GB of memory in many different ways, and found no errors. I ran that twice. So far I am only running this memory at the "default" speed of 1600 Mhz. To get the advertised 1866 Mhz, I would have to go into my BIOS and turn on the overclocking, which I'm not sure I'll do. This is all normal. Memory essentially comes with 2 speed ratings... the default (which typically is a max of 1600 Mhz, but sometimes is much lower, such as 1333) and then potentially a higher speed rating that the manufacturer may have tested / certified. This memory defaults to 1600 and manufacturer says is good at 1866 as well.
