How long does the effects of taking one tablet last?

This is dependant on how low sugar is, i take 3/4 tablets and eat 2digestive biscuits this does it for me and sugar will be at 3 to 4 this takes me to my next meal but every one is different and only by trial and error will you work it out for yourself.

Is there a type of container that is made to carry just a few of these does anyone know?

Not that I have seen. You can buy boxes of these tabs which come individually wrapped. You would just have to looks for small Plastic/ metal pill box. Sorry
