The best phone mount I've found... But it doesn't stick. (Solved with Mod, Now Perfect)
BTW to anyone who sees this, I first posted in October '17 and it's currently April '19. This mount hasn't moved a bit in the intervening period. It still works flawlessly. I am just now about to get a new phone and it should work with that one too. I love this mount soooo freaking much. It works beautifully and to anyone who can spare the 10 minutes to Mod it as described here you should absolutely buy this. It's the best. Pre-edit review below the line. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- UPDATE: I fixed my problem of adhesion by removing the adhesive gel that was a part of the product and instead used some 3M velcro squares to adhere it to my dash. With that one modification, this has become the best mount I have seen. It works beautifully and consistently. It stays folded down when not in use and you can still mount a phone in its maw easily with one hand where it will remain secure until you remove it. I love this thing. Still, I did have to modify it the extra so if 10 mins of hassle are excruciatingly valuable to you and you want a perfect product from the very start you should count this as 4 stars. With modifications though, it's the best. My original review is below if you want to see what I thought before fixing my problem. I am sorry to post a negative review... The clip itself is fantastic, however, I messed around for quite some time and cannot get it to stick to my dash reliably. It stuck for 15 min or so after several attempts but ultimately it does not adhere well enough and will come unstuck and stick less with each subsequent attempt. I did clean the dash thoroughly beforehand. It's pretty disappointing as the rest of it is probably the most sturdy and no-nonsense design I've seen for a phone mount. If I do not get a reply here I may see what 3rd party adhesives I can safely use on my dash to attach it. Anyway, lot's of people love it so give it a shot.

Not perfect adhesive, but 5 stars!
This is the best phone holder I've seen, and it is just great. You will see some complaints about the adhesive -- and they are 100% correct -- but it's still the best phone mount. The key is super simple. Get the best quality double adhesive tape you can find, 3M or something similar, and use that instead. Remove the factory gel adhesive (which is nearly worthless) and replace it with double sided tape. With that solved, it's a wonderful product. It holds the phone securely and looks really good on your dash. I'm typically super hard to please on this kind of thing, and I'm very impressed. The holder looks as good as anything I've seen, better actually, and the function is great. It holds my wife's iPhone 7 and my 7+ with no adjustment. Highly recommended...

It has its pros and one con...
Simple, yet does what it's supposed to do! I waited till the weather got cooler (I live in the PHX valley) before I attached this item to the dash. The decal is holding on thus far (we've had temperatures in the low 30s). A major complaint is that GPS usage causes the phone to heat up, so the usability of the phone rest drops down to zero, and that's when I have to resort to resting the phone on an unused CD sitting on the CD mount-- not very stable- or place the phone in the cup holder, which is a bit frustrating, since I paid money so that I won't have to. This also means I need to find a suitable vent rest (one in which the phone fall off the vent and damage the phone OR the cable underneath, or both, before it gets very warm. A minor complaint is due to the design of my car-- it's a bit hard to fuss with the phone on "down times," but on the upswing, I have less distractions that keep me from focusing on the road! I like that it doesn't take up a lot of space, whether or not it's actually being used! A good choice if you don't, or can't, use your car's vents as a means to prop your phone while in your car. If you have a spare battery-operated fan on hand, you could install that onto your dashboard to keep your PHONE cool- ha! :)

Great idea, would have bought more only if it worked.
I got a new BMW and saw this. It looked amazing, simple, elegant the idea is great, so I got it. Alas, it was not meant to be. * First of all, the glue/ gel thing is on a flat surface, very thin layer, so if there is slight curve to your dashboard, good luck. * Secondly, if the surface is matt/ textured, this wont stick. I got this for BMW which has textured dashboard, it wont stick. So I thought I will put this in my Infiniti G35 (my older car), which has smooth matt finish on the dashboard, and switch the windshield holder to BMW. It didn't stick to Infiniti either. Yes, I did follow instructions closely. cleaned the surface with alcohol, made sure the Teflon based Meguiar's dashboard cleaner I use is removed properly. I almost felt like putting an automotive. industrial grade double sided tape from 3M, but didn't want to ruin either dashboards. So if you want that is another option. I have tried at least 20 different brands of phone mounts over the last 8 years, and the one in Infiniti is perfect (it is a pincher style that I got from Amazon). Some broke, others were low quality and still others took forever to put phone in and out. Some were returned, others are in some trash heap. Spigen Stealth is a great idea, if it works on your car. I wish it did on mine, and would have purchased more (for me and as gifts for my friends) if it would have worked. I had to return it.

Another Solid Spigen Product! - Horizontal Dash Mount
This mount is definitely a neat idea with a one thing you need to keep in mind when purchasing it. If you have a phone which has the power or volume buttons towards the middle of the phone this mount will push the buttons and cause your volume to turn down or your screen to light up occasionally making your phone ask you if you want to shut it off. Also despite Spigen's advert calling it a "one handed use mount"..it really isn't; you'll need to use both hands to put your phone in properly (when you use one hand the mount will unstick itself from your dash.) Now for the things I like about it: It looks really nice. It's made of a thick plastic/silicon like material which has a nice grippy feel to it. It matches the color of my car and accents my dashboard nicely. The tacky bottom is NOT a sticky pad, which I was definitely worried about because I did not want to have to scrape this thing off my dash or damage my dash in any way for a phone mount. When it gets hot enough in the car and you attempt to mount your phone by lifting the top half, SOMETIMES the gel bottom will lose it's grip but press it right back down and you're good to go again. It has a sticky feel but not as if you were putting some 3M tape on your dash. So far this thing doesn't seem like it will do any damage to my dash (which is the main reason why I got it)

Great mount... just use your own adhesive!
I love the simple, unassuming design of this clip-shaped mount, but unfortunately, the "gel" adhesive is nearly worthless if the surface is even slightly textured. I've had trouble getting things to stick to my dashboard in the past, so I used extra rubbing alcohol on the area and let it dry completely before using the single, thin lens wipe included in the package for priming the surface. I peeled off the backing, pressed down firmly, then counted to 15 before releasing, but as I lifted the top of the mount to insert my phone, I could hear the adhesive peeling. Once the weight of the phone (LG G6) was in the mount, the entire assembly slid across my dashboard at the first turn. The adhesive pad felt like a slightly grippy rubber and wasn't sticky at all. I liked everything else about the mount, though, so I was committed to making it work. I peeled off the gel pad and applied some cheap foam double-sided tape to the bottom, and that seems to be working well so far.

The Crocodile Mouth design is great!!!
This is a very useful product. I have tried multiple smartphone holders and finally settled for this after a few years of trying products in the market. Problems with smartphone holders: 1. Most smartphone holders obstruct vision when not in use (unless you unmount them - I am lazy to do so). - Spigen Stealth solves this. It stays there on the dashboard but is invisible to my eyes when I don't need it. i.e. the top half folds down if there is nothing in between the Jaws.Even when there is a smartphone in between the Jaws, stealth is the least obstructive among all smartphone holders out there. 2. If you get one of those small smartphone holders that fit into your ac vent so that they do not obstruct vision, a. The phone gets heated up if you have your heater on. b. You cannot fit in huge phones (like my 6s PLUS). The spigen stealth can fit both my 6s Plus and my wife's 6S with no issues. 3. If you get one of those CD mount Smartphone holders, they obstruct everything like audio controls, vents etc... (at least in my car). 4. Finally, Super easy to set up, put int he smart phone and take it out. Trust me I was designing something similar with Sugru and was testing it out on my car , but have to hand it to spigen to have brought this to market sooner. If you faced all of the problems above and are still in the market for a smartphone car mount - just get this. Spigen promises that it is easy to remove the mount and stick it back. I have not tried it (nor intend to in the near future) - so cannot speak for this.

Does not bode well in cold environments.
I bought this because this was one of the only phone mounts that would fit my huge Nexus 6. It also looked very nice. Design: very sleek, has a nice feel to it and seems to be very sturdy. Function: The adhesive is your typical sticky gel adhesive. My main issue regarding thiscar mount is that it is very temperamental. I live in a very cold state in winter and humid in summer. The moment I removed the plastic covering the adhesive, it was too cold to feel sticky. It didn't even make an effort to stick to my dashboard. It couldn't be bothered. I tried heating it up and then applying, that was a bit better, but again did not hold very strongly. I had to keep pressing a finger on the base while applying my phone and opening the top mouth of the mount so that it wouldn't accidentally unstuck itself. Even as careful as I was, it still popped off many, many times. It's very dangerous, especially when you're driving and you have a huge ass phone flinging across your dashboard. You have been warned! I really wanted to like this and was tempted to super gluing it or velcroing it to my dashboard.

Practical, stylish, works brilliantly.
This is a great car mount that, unlike the vast majority of car mounts out there, doesn't rehash the same old design. Most car mounts are fixed to the car either by clipping to an air vent (when you can get them to fit securely you have a hot phone and warped vents that now only point down), or by sticking to the windscreen meaning you're sacrificing your view with the mount, the phone and a charging cable, and leaving a nasty ring on the glass when you take it off (or when it falls off when going over a speed bump). The fact that this holder falls into the dash mount category is definitely a plus in my book. The way that the mount attaches to the dash is far better than any other method out there - I have no clue what the people saying otherwise are doing wrong. Where, with other kits, you would permanently stick a disc to the dash and then suction mount the holder to that disc, this holder relies on a reusable, sticky, gel pad. You clean the dash with the included alcohol wipe, wait a few seconds for it to dry, then press the holder firmly in place. I have a textured dash and this thing is moving for no one - I've pulled pretty hard on it, too. And then of course you have the way that the phone mounts in the holder. I won't explain how it works because it's pretty self evident and a load of other reviewers have already explained it, but let me just say that it is really secure, and easy to mount the phone with one hand without looking at what you're doing. Perfect for a car mount. The only negatives I can think of are: it's not available with any other inside colour than blue. It doesn't look bad, in fact it looks bloody good, even in a car that has absolutely no complimentary colours to blue in it, but an option to have it all black or orange or any other colour would be fantastic. The second negative is the fact that you can only mount your phone horizontally. It's not a problem for me, because 99% of the time I mount my phone horizontally anyway. But the option to mount vertically would be fantastic. Overall, I think this is a brilliant car mount. Possibly the best on the market for people who want something stylish that doesn't mess up a clean driving environment. Sturdy, looks great, works brilliantly. Can't recommend it enough. Tested with a Samsung Galaxy S8+, in a Fiat Grand Punto.

Sexiest phone mount out there!
Love this thing. Easy installation, very solid build and quality. Holds my Nexus 6, in a MOKO case, with ease. I have this in my car and it is great, only issue I have is that the top blocks access to the power button, but I just have to move it to the left slightly. If you want a great mount that also looks good get this. Very stable on my dash, took it down some really bad roads just to test and it held on no problem.

Ce support Spigen me satisfait entièrement!

Waardeloos ding
