I love this thing! It looks a little small for a whole bowl of ramen but it does hold a lot more than you think it will. I can even cook bacon in it by wrapping it in circle around the pan. It's great for reheating leftovers. Just don't look at it and think, "That's not big enough to use for anything", you'll be surprised. The handle does get hot so you'll want a hot pad or folded paper towel to pick up the pan.

This is a fun little appliance that gets the job done. I bought this when I lost the electric circuit that my microave sits on. Until the electric company can come out and go up their pole to replace their equipment, I needed something electric to heat some small things in. This appliance fits the bill. I use it to prepare Mac n Cheese cups, the kind that you add water to the fill line and put in your microwave for a period of time. Instead of the microwave, I put the contents into this little pan and heat it that way. Comes out perfectly. I also heat water, and have cooked Klondike Flap Jack cups in it, same way. It all works out great. I have heated chili in it, too. This little appliance heats stuff rapidly, much quicker than the microwave. So far, I have no issues at all of getting the food out of the pan, and the cooking surface stays clean. Even if it appears that something is cooked on, it's not. Just fool with it a little, and the whole bottom will come out intact, at once, and you can eat that, too. This appliance is small. It isn't going to cook a lot at once, but for spot meals, or tiny meals, it works. The one thing that I would caution on is the heat. This thing gets HOT. The lid has a steam vent which it would behoove you to rotate away from the tab handle in order to keep the tab from cooking your fingers. Which is not to say that the tab doesn't get hot. It does. You may have to employ a hot pad, or some cloth something that you can use on the tiny tab to pick the pan up. The pan is easy to lift off of the heating element. There are no other handles to move the pan around, and none on the body of the unit itself. You have to teach yourself to move slowly and carefully around the appliance, and make sure that the body is not touching anything lest it melt a cord or something. Do not let paper products touch the body while in use, for safety. The 260 watts heat up quickly and impressively. There is no on/off button. Your on/off button is the electric plug. This is okay, because you have to remain with the appliance while in use, and you will be forced to unplug it when done cooking. So, that works out. The only criticism I have is the little blue light which indicates that the appliance is on. It can barely be seen, and you have to cup your fingers around the light to see it working. You have to be careful not to touch the body of the appliance in order to avoid a burn. One feature I especially like is the fact that the lid is clear glass, which enables you to see the food inside and what is happening to it. It is very easy to clean. There are actually TWO cooking surfaces to use; I do not plan to use the lower level one because I think you can only use one at a time, anyway, and the top one is sufficient. The lower one is not detachable and underneath that is where the electronics would be, so I don't plan to use it. But, I could. The surface on the top is deeper but a tad smaller. No big deal. All in all, I am not sorry I bought this appliance. It is getting me through a hard time, and every little bit of convenience we can get is important.

I got this when it was on sale for $11.99 during the holiday season and then had discover points to pay for it with! Couldn't say no! I was thinking it would be good for the office. I finally got around using it, I wanted to test at home before taking to the office. I feel like the skillet could be a little deeper. The whole reason I bought it was to make ramen noodles in. The skillet was filled with the 3 ozs of noodles and water. I wasn't sure it was going to work, but it did. Now, I won't take it to work, it bubbled over a little bit, but I will use it at home. Once the grand kids get a little bigger they will be able to use it when they visit. I gave it 4 stars because I would prefer the skillet be a little deeper, other than that it's going to do what I want it to do. Oh, let me add that the manual that comes with it has a couple of recipes in it to start off cooking for one. I think this would be great for college kids and single adults.

It’s a mini pot/skillet, not sure what you honestly expect. No heat control but it heated up quickly enough and cooks well. Cleanup was easy, though I’ve yet to burn anything to it and where’s no weird residue or anything. Pot holds maybe a cup and a quarter? About enough for a single serving of ramyun and a bit of veggies and/or an egg/slice of meat but no more. Skillet cooked burgers well and evenly (beef, turkey, salmon, etc), eggs & bacon, sausage all good. Done oatmeal and cream of wheat in the pot but you can’t really look away because it has potential to boil over due to the lack of control. All in all you can cook a decent variety of things in a single serving but there’s not a ton of room so stir fry was out of the question. Anyone who says anything about ramen not fitting hasn’t paid attention. You have break the noodles first, and you won’t have a ton of broth that’s indeed true. Ramyun comes in a 2 serving size brick of noodles so this should be common sense if you eat the good stuff. Now my review is a bit low bc it came in a beat up box and missing one of the rubber feet so it wobbles horribly until I found something to put in its place. I like the product but the quality control leaves a lot to be desired.

I bought this little cooker for a couple of reasons, primarily to cook an egg for my young granddaughter when she wants one and to cook simple ramen without having to get out and then clean a bigger pan. It seems to work well for both of these applications and many others. The specifics include: - takes about 4-5 minutes to heat up in the "grill" mode and the blue indicator light will go out when it's at full temperature. The grill looks like it's non-stick, but it's not really. Just add a quick spray of cooking spray and it works great. You can make fried over eggs, sunnyside up eggs, or scrambled eggs easily. I suppose you can also make easy poached eggs with the pan mode, but I haven't tried that. The unit is too small to immerse a full egg to make hard boiled eggs. - the pan only holds a bit more than one cup of water to cook the ramen in when the ramen is added, but that's fine for my tastes. It takes about 9-10 minutes to heat the water to boiling, but it develops a rapid boil from then on and cooks the ramen well. Note that: - there is no on-off switch, so you just plug it in to cook - the cord is less than two feet long, so you'll need to be near your electrical outlet - there is no temperature control adjustment, so once it's fully hot, it's going to stay there. The heating will cycle on and off itself when it reaches full temperature, but I'm not able to tell how hot that is. Based on the speed that it cooks eggs, I would say the full heat temperature is probably nearly 350-400 degrees F. Overall, I think it's a versatile simple device that saves cleaning bigger pans when they are not necessary and I look forward to trying new things to cook in it.

Here is an another excellent example of an real from kitchenless to a tiny kitchenette food preparation alternative especially for people with no to limited kitchen access and/or no longer needs to prepare more food than for no more than 2 or so.. This appliance could also possibly be pressed for emergency use during unexpected situations (like blackouts) hooked up to an alternative power source. This style of food preparation/cooking does makes this activity/chore much more easier-or at least tolerable-to do in rather less than these ideal situations & circumstances either planned or unplanned. Which is incorporated into the these ultra portable "mini" type of LOW (generally around 500 watts and under) compact appliances. This particular one reviewed here covers the frying, stir frying, grilling spectrum well. At only 260 watts! It can also steam, rolling boil liquids, and warm up pre-cooked foods. Although as it's advertised Ramen Cooker, not so much. I feel that it's really much better at frying. I've been using the traditional, very basic 1 button/switch mechanical Rice Cookers for years to prepare most of my meals & snacks rather than on a more traditional stove. The only thing they could not offer me was a real true way to sizzle fry/griddle my foods. With this new MyMini appliance, I can do it all now very well without drawing too much power just like those much higher wattage type of appliances did previously! This little appliance is very unique in it's design. It has 2 (!) cooking surfaces. The upper one has a removable skillet & glass lid (included in the box) which nestles into the lower plate. This lower one is simply a nonremovable flat griddle hot plate also intended for cooking. I chose to only use the upper part with the skillet to actually do all my meals in. I have also been purchasing SEPARATELY more pots/pans/skillets to cook a much wider variety of stuff from a camp kettle to boil water for tea/coffee to a tiny cast iron pan for grilling a hamburger pattie! All these accessories nestle very well into the lower level hot plate like a well fitting jigsaw puzzle piece or the included skillet & lid. Plus they all are much easier to clean after use. I also learned to cook my food in batches (first Teriyaki marinated beef strips, then carrots sliced at a approximately 45 degree angle as "chips", finally thinly sliced mushrooms) as the tiny 5 inch diameter size of this unit cannot fit all the ingredients together at once. It might be a bit slow, but it works well. As you can see with my heaping Teriyaki Beef Plate just smothered with carrots and mushrooms. Though I did used one of the bit larger at 300 watts "6 cup" Rice Cooker I already owned to boil the Udon Noodles separately. I usually use 2 appliances as once to speed up the cooking process-just like on a multiple burners on a typical stovetop. And the result was so tasty. Without using any stovetop whatsoever. I recommend purchasing this product for yourself and for truly wonderful gifts for others.

Well, I have to say when I received this product and opened it, pulled it out of the box I said to myself, : "Are you kidding me and is this a joke?" Because it was small and thought it would be a tad larger, but this little thing was small! However, not to quickly judge it by it's size. I tried it out and it is AWESOME! It is so awesome, I cooked Vegan patty, reheated my basmati rice and it was a great meal, it is good to not "over-eat and thought this is great for small portions and those who do not want to over eat." This morning, I made a small pancake. It is great, because it is easy clean up by removing the "small pan" and wash. I am tempted to buy their "small waffle maker", someone at work has it and makes us waffes (well before this pandemic hit!). Keep in mind there is no switch and is 260 Watts which is enough.I am just having a great time with it. :)

*Initial Experience* I’m rating this appliance 4 stars due to the product received arriving with a skillet pan upon which the lid could not fit ((pictured)) as the pan was irregularly shaped upon arrival - one side being round, the other being more of an oval. Additionally, post trying the product (the which I had not done prior to coming to an agreed upon resolve regarding the aforementioned with Amazon Customer Service), the indicator light did not turn on at any time while the unit was plugged it. Considering this item was ordered via Amazon Warehouse ‘Used - Like New’, I cannot say what factors played a part in the product being in the condition it was in upon arrival - the listing only noting the original box was damaged. Although damage to the actual product, to include the indicator light malfunction was not listed, this rating only deducts 1 star as I truly appreciate the Amazon customer support rep that assisted me - helping make a not so pleasant experience buying an electrical cooking appliance from Amazon Warehouse for the first time brighter by extending a “one-time curtesy”… Now to the good stuff about the Nostalgia MyMini Electric Skillet & Noodle Maker that also factor into this 4 star rating. :) *Cooking ‘Tester’ Experience* When it comes to heating up, the appliance I received does heat up despite the indicator light never coming on at any time. While I was unable to effectively use the pan’s lid during the heating and cooking process, I tested the skillet pan by scrambling eggs mixed with some rice I had already cooked prior to using this appliance ((pictured)). It cooked very well. I was well pleased with the overall performance. *Final Thoughts* I am impressed with the Nostalgia MyMini Electric Skillet & Noodle Maker - so much so that I informed a number of individuals about it post trying it. This is a product experience that I wish I could have rated 5 stars as the Nostalgia MyMini Electric Skillet & Noodle Maker is an appliance that I can see myself using often. It’s also one that I would buy again as a gift for others, as well as myself - brand new this time of course. :) ___________ UPDATE: After repeated attempts at shaping the skillet pan, I was able to stretch the skillet pan enough to make the lid fit the pan. It’s not a perfect fit considering how it started out, but I’ll take it. :) Now I’m looking forward to really seeing what this little gadget can do. - Thankful!

It is really small, look at the plastic cheese for scale. Boils water not super fast or anything, like 5 minutes or so if I had to guess. The only thing I didn't like as much was the length of the wire, it was like a foot long (~30cm). I'd much prefer a 3-foot long (~1m) wire for sure. Both the individual pan and the skillet itself have a non-stick coating and can be used to cook. Which is nice that I can still just use the bottom piece on its own. Honestly she is beautiful. I bought this one for about $20 second-hand which is not something I usually do on Amazon but $30 difference compared to "new" and here we are. It came with a bit of scratch, definitely not new for sure but is functional and clean. It helps when I'm in uni all day and can't get any sort of hot food without spending money. After a bit of that I'm starting to feel like I was running low on money. Then I thought to get one of those "electric hot pot" but those seemed to be too big for carrying around on campus all day. And those were usually a single piece meaning you'll have to be careful about cleaning, making sure not to have water in the outlet hole etc. I got this one after looking around for a bit, I think I made a good choice. It really depends on what you want to do with it. If your goal is to eat at your desk I recommend searching up "electric hot pot" and finding something bigger from there. If your goal is giving it to a child because they like to play with fire I'd trust anyone over the age of 14 to play with it along but you'd know your child the best, try it out yourself first. Anything before that age maybe give them a run down first and/or play with supervision because it does get to boiling levels of hot. Doesn't help that its wire is super short. For me, it is especially useful because the only thing I want to achieve is to heat food on campus. The tiny wire doesn't matter anyway because campus outlets are mostly all at desk level already. You can definitely make food with it from scratch which is what I did for a few days until I got bored of that because it does take a long time to cook from scratch, and it's small so I got to cook 2 batches to get a full stomach. I think it's all about the perspective. Like bringing food in those thermos containers only to have them radiate medium to sad levels of heat by the time you're eating? Try to bring a plastic container of cold food and heat it up on campus with this bad boy. Now you got just-coming-out-of-the-pan level of hot food. Those meat dishes that get soggy and oily over the course of half a day and even if you microwaved it you still feel sickening to eat them so then you just don't bring those around anymore? Not a problem anymore. You somehow still bought food anyway but it got cold by the time you got to it for some reason? Disassemble whatever you got, pan, reassemble, boom. Impress all of your friends with it, nobody's gonna think you're weird when they're eating cold food and you're not. The list goes on. Go nuts with it.

Es muy muy pequeña, más pequeña de lo que puedes imaginar viendo las fotos pero es hermosa! No cabe ni una sopa de ramen de bolsa pero es útil para calentar pequeñitas porciones de sopas, sobretodo si tienes bebés es muy útil. Yo la compré para cuando sea necesario calentar solo la porción de comida caldosa para mi hijo de 3 años.

My Nostalgia mini skillet is the best kitchen purchase I've made in recent memory. Originally, I just wanted something to boil water beside my computer where I can keep an eye on it. We recently moved from a house with a gas stove to an apartment with an electric stove, which takes longer to heat up and boil my coffee water. I would walk away and forget about it. When I saw the multifunction capabilities of this unit, I bought it. So far, I have cooked a sausage and egg breakfast with hash browns, an omelet, a muffin, a breakfast bun, a flat bread with cheese and mushrooms, and a stir fry. These are small portions, so are only a snack (which I make when my other roommates are hogging the kitchen) unless you also have a side dish such as salad or sandwich. The stir fry was poured over cooked barley which I always have on hand in the fridge. Originally, I had been concerned that, due to the high heat and lack of heat controls, thicker foods such as the muffin and bun would burn on the bottom and remain uncooked on top. This did not happen. Both items cooked through properly. The bun, of course, did not get crusty on top as this is not an oven - but the sides and bottom did. An additional plus feature is the low wattage, making it an ideal back up unit in the event of power failure when we would rely on back up batteries for basic utilities. The one drawback is the handle. It is a bit too short and it does become uncomfortably warm when cooking dishes that require a longer cooking time.

I work from home and, due to chronic medical issues, I try to sleep as long as possible, and I can quickly put together scrambled eggs with onions and cheese in a couple of minutes. I can put the mini skillet close to me and when it is ready, I can unplug it and eat out of the small pot that the eggs are cooked in between calls. It is a bit small, but I can scramble two eggs and liquid to it. I haven't added any meat, yet, but I have added potatoes. The food is tasty. The bottom part can be easily used to fry eggs or even hamburger patties. This would be great for a dorm room. It has a non stick coating, but it does need a bit of oil. The skillet areas are.easy to clean. The lid is more of a challenge and needs some soaking time. The lid is the only thing I dislike about the item because if the eggs rise too much then it gets inside the lid because it has too much space between the rim and the edges of the glass, that is not a big deal though.
