Can this be used to extend the length of my dc power supply cable on my 1000w amplifier for a utv speaker system

Max safe distance of 12volts ac/dc of 18 gauge wire is 10ft. If your going to power a 1000w amp you need 4 gauge wire. 18 gauge wire is good for low voltage lights, not powering or extending the length of the power cord for a 1000w amplifier.

Why is the max voltage for the 18G wire only 12V when their thinner 22G wire can handle up to 24V?

18AWG wire can handle upto 48v, however for safety and stablity consideration, we suggest not to work more than 24v, better upto 12v.
