Perfect travel bottle - no leaks and love the protective cap
This is the perfect travel water bottle. The size is just right - easy to carry around but still holds plenty of water. Most importantly, it does not leak at all, which gives me total confidence throwing it in a bag. I also love that it has a cap cover that protects the mouthpiece from germs. That was a big thing for me when traveling. Itโs transparent too, which makes it easy to see exactly how much water you have left so you can plan ahead. The bottle itself feels super sturdy and well made. Overall, exactly what I was looking for, especially at this cost.

When you just want a quality no frills, no spills water bottle
I was recently advised to start drinking a lot more water by my doctor. So much so that I now find it necessary to carry a water bottle everywhere. Every bottle I see some flowery print or silly design, or motivational phrases printed on it. I didn't care for any of that. I just wanted a plain water bottle that wouldn't spill. Boom. Here it is. Super simple. No unnecessary parts, easy to clean, clear, easily visible ounce size and a small unobtrusive logo printed near the top. Carry handle on the lid also works as a ring for a strap clip if you want to be able to sling it over your shoulder. It is a little too big for the cup holders in my car, but I was always going to struggle to find a 40 ounce basic bottle that was going to fit those.

This sport top really is "BEST LID EVER" !!!
Takeya is a lesser know brand but its been around for a long time., They make great products but never get the hip and trendy recognition like the other brands. I own HYDROFLASK, YETI, NALGENE, CAMELBACK, and STANLEY bottles and they all have the same flaw. The gaskets in the lids are so hard to get out. I think the standard HYDROFLASK insulated wide mouth is by far the most difficult to remove. This lid on the other hand builds in little pull tabs that you can almost take out without any tools. I say almost because my fingers are big and I have a hard time getting to the small gasket at the spout cap, but it is still doable. The best part? This fits onto all the standard wide mouth bottles. I works on my HYDROFLASK insulated stainless, CAMELBACK chute, NALGENE classic , as well as some of the other lesser know wide mouth brands. The only one it won't work with is YETI. The bottle is also a narrower and taller profile that works better for those with smaller hands. This taller profile could be less stable in smaller daypacks with shorter bottle pockets, but for backpacking, this is great. I am so happy with these lids, I have bought additional ones just so I can use them with all my bottles instead of the original ones. This lid really is the star and I totally agree that it is the "BEST LID EVER".

Excellent.
Very durable. I donโt have to extensively clean it out like other water bottles because of a smell, it tends to be easy to clean. Itโs airtight. And lasted the whole school year with a rowdy child that goes through 2-3 bottles a year.

Sturdy, tight.
Tight seal, no drip ever, no matter how much it shakes while carrying it around. Very sturdy for use anywhere. When you're indoors with a group of 100 people with bottles of water, you won't be the one who annoys everyone with a noisy metal bottle if it accidentaly tips over.

Almost perfect!
Takeya, can you PLEASE, pretty please, make this in a 50 ounce? Please. I love these sturdy, lightweight bottles. The lid design is perfect for easy drinking, easy carrying and easy cleaning. I just need a bit more volume.

Perfect water bottle!
I was searching for a new water bottle to replace the multiple 32 oz Nalgene bottles I have because they don't fit in my car cup holder. This Takeya bottle is absolutely perfect! It's slightly narrower than my Nalgenes and measures 3.38 inches in diameter which fits snuggly in my cup car holder. I also love the cap that comes with the Takeya bottle. It's really well made and allows for comfortable drinking while also being able to add ice by removing the cap. For my Nalgenes, I would buy the wide mouth bottles and then have to buy a narrow cap to have the same ability. So while the Nalgene bottle itself is cheaper, adding on the third-party cap makes is more expensive than just buying the Takeya. The spout on the Takeya is a little smaller than the humangear capCap, but I think it makes it more comfortable to drink from. And an unexpected plus with the Takeya cap is that the spout is offset to the side a little. This allows me to fill it at my water dispenser without removing the cap because the Takeya spout lines up perfectly with the water dispenser spout. The humangear capCap on my Nalgene is centered and doesn't reach back far enough for the dispenser spout. Also, the Takeya spout cover sort of "clicks" in the fully open position so it's not slapping you in the face when you take a drink. So in pretty much every aspect - cost, size, functionality - this beats out my 32 oz Nalgenes and I think I found the perfect water bottle.
