Yes. But you will need some water on the bottom together with corn

Yes, one of our customer use our warmer that way as well

After how long does automatic shutoff activate, can I keep it going overnight?

If the water is gone, then the auto shutoff would be triggered. As long as there is enough water, you could leave it overnight

Can you use a liner with this?

I have not used a liner but if it was a liner designed for hot use ex. a crock pot liner that may work.
