A: It is matte surface. It is natural color.

**Q: what are the measurements for the small and medium size of pots? Also, what does the plastic tray look like? thank you**
A: the size was on the Amazon page. The plastic tray was not attractive so I threw it away. The pot is very clean and contemporary looking. -- It is small

**Q: Does the cement turn dark gray when wet?**
A: A bit if you overwater, but not as much as other cement pots I have. I think that's just the nature of cement.
