Review: Good quality works well - Have purchased some off brands as well as interior Tessa and exterior Tessa. What I found is as long as you get the name brand Tessa tape your good. Just know the fleas type is for interior usage. I have used this for in dash wire harness and some items in my doors I wrapped up for sound deadening because I have a very loud stereo system. Regardless it stick well especially to itself and that’s what your looking for. Pro tip at the end when you cut it off fold over a tiny bit so you have a tab to grab in case you ever need to remove it. And on a wire harness start from the inside working your way out to the end like the final plug.
Review: Multi purpose uses! - Great product! Used to tie fog light wiring inside the engine bay and used to stop rattles on the interior. Good stick, had difficulty taking it apart, annd was anble to restock the same piece multiple times. only issue is that it’s hard to cut but that just me using household scissors.

**Q: Can someone measure thickness with calipers?**
A: Thickness is approx. .02mm or .000787inches

**Q: Can this be used to cover solder joints or is it just for taping together already insulated wires?**
A: This tape is primarily used for wiring harnesses in the automotive industry for wear resistance and noise reduction.  It was not meant for insulation of solder joints.

**Q: Does this tape have adhesive on it?  I am looking for non adhesive wire tape.**
A: Yes! This is electrical tape that is fabric on the top. It has better adhesion than typical electrical tape. Keep it in a plastic bag as it picks up lint and dust easily.

**Q: Hi! Do you carry the 51036 exterior harness tape?**
A: Matt, Sorry for the delay in answering your question, and thank you for the question. The short answer is no, the long answer is as follows: I sell 51026 and can get 51036. I have never dealt with 51036, but after research, I find it is an updated version of 51026 (updated 51006). Both 51026 and 51036 are rated at 150C and have acrylic adhesive. Perhaps 51036 is more resistant to auto fluids, but I do not really know. My price for limited volume would be about $19.00 per roll on Amazon. Thanks again.

This tape is most often used for wrapping automotive wiring harnesses and helps visually clean up wiring to look like factory work. There are different variations of this tape so if you want something that has more heat and weather resistance you can find a version for that purpose by Tesa. This specific tape adheres well to itself for wrapping around wires, but also can be used to reduce or silence automotive interior noise from panels and parts rubbing together. You can add a piece or two between areas that rub and have play to reduce the squeaks and annoying vibrations during driving. This is a great product for DIY wiring and automotive projects.
