Good Value Whole Bean Lighter Roast
More of a medium roast flavor profile and chocholatey vs a lighter roast flavor profile. I brewed with pour over V60 and clever dripper and I found that pour over was slightly more defined. Overall not a bad coffee on a budget. Its a safe intro to lighter roast if you want to show others what the difference is between big brand roasts and specialty roasts. Though I know this is not "specialty" perse. It is still a good enough alternative to keep on hand for those days you just want a good medium roast.

Feels highly caffeinated
This is an interesting coffee. I normally like medium-dark roasts, but have been enjoying lighter profiles lately. I tend to blend everything so I ended up adding this to a decaf medium roast. But what I can say is this, yes as other. reviewers point out it can have a watery taste, so I used maybe 20% more coffee per weight (yeah I have a scale for this). This coffee gave me a lot of energy and focus - even mixed in with decaf. To be honest the beans were so light in color, that I actually roasted them by hand on the stove a little bit, just to make them start to give off aroma, and barely darken in color. Sadly, not much moisture or "oil" accumulated on the beans themselves. Mixing these harder (less roasted) beans with the darker ones was good because I don't have a burr grinder, and I find that mixing different roasts of beans helps with getting a more even texture (less boulders and powder) in the finished ground coffee. This coffee didn't give me any sort of stomach upset, which is always an issue I have to watch out for. I had tried Allegro coffees before and always hated them, but this one I can see purchasing again.
