Not a Climber, But These Slings Are Outstanding for RV and Truck Tie-Down Use
Not a Climber, But These Slings Are Outstanding for RV and Truck Tie-Down Use These NewDoar climbing slings earn every bit of 5 stars and have found a very practical home in my RV and truck setup even though I don't climb. I use them as tie-down extenders and anchor points to secure gear in the truck bed and RV storage areas, and they are absolutely perfect for that application. The 23KN rated strength gives enormous confidence that they'll handle any load I could reasonably put on them in a vehicle or RV context without any concern whatsoever—if they're rated for rock climbing and rappelling they're more than capable of securing camping gear, equipment, and supplies during travel. The 12-inch length is ideal for creating versatile anchor loops around tie-down points, bed rails, and cargo anchors without excess material getting in the way. The UIAA and CE certifications are a bonus that confirms these meet serious safety standards, and the quality of the stitching and webbing construction feels genuinely premium and durable for long-term heavy-use applications. The green color makes them easy to spot quickly when digging through gear, and having 3 in the pack covers multiple anchor and extension points in one purchase. For RV owners, truck owners, or anyone looking for a strong, versatile, and compact tie-down extension and anchor solution, these climbing slings are a brilliant and underappreciated option. Highly recommended.

Casualty drag strap
Works great. Decent pricing. For my purpose I could have made one, but wanted the industrial stitching and better quality finishing than I would achieve. Already put to use during a training event and it held up to several drags.

Strong & Affordable
I've used these more times than I can count, for anchors, belay extensions and various other climbing setups. Solid and reliable. I've washed them twice because they got pretty dirty, still looks and feels good. Rated high enough for use in climbing, and quality control seems good. Much cheaper than a name brand and does the exact same job.

High Quality, Low Cost Sewn Runners in a Range of Sizes
I've used these 180cm runners once outdoors thus far, and they've performed well in the setting of top-rope soloing at Devil's Lake State Park in Wisconsin; my main intent for them is in multi-pitch trad climbing which will hopefully begin again rather soon, in the COVID-19 brave new world; the 16mm nylon is burly enough to use for both draws and anchors, avoiding the shock-load catastrophe scenarios of Dyneema/Spectra without that much added weight/bulk; and the range of lengths, with each one coming in a different, set color (e.g. 180cm is black, 150cm is red, etc.) makes incorporation into an adventuresome trad rack very doable; the only thing I can't speak to yet is the durability of the draws, though since they have a CE mark, are rated for 23kN and are definitely nylon, there is a good likelihood they will measure up in that regard as well; the nylon is supple enough to daisy chain itself onto a single carabiner that will rack compactly

Sturdy and secure
Used these to cable in on the top of Half Dome this summer. Worked great and were nice and compact to carry. Wish they came in a little bit longer size but worked just fine.

Awesome
I bought these to use as an emergency harness mainly. They’ll also work for an anchor or casualty recovery

Good value
It's as described. Can't really beat it for the price. Luckily I haven't fallen on it yet.

legit
The Chinese breakout brands are all competing to get to full legitimacy in the UK and EU markets first, because the established big brands (Petzl, Teufelberger, DMM) are very expensive and have a whiff of antitrust. The first Chinese cheap import to get taken seriously will be able to undercut those guys by about 50% and make an absolute killing. NewDoar are one of these attempts. Their carabiners are hopeless so far - nothing 3WL. But these slings are proper. All the right figures and info stitched onto them, very well made. Between this and the SOB harness it's looking like only a matter of time before Petzl and the other big lads start to sweat.
