Expensive, yes...especially if you buy 2 sets. However, the quality it phenomenal and they make even a slice of cake from a restaurant look like something extra special. I don't regret my purchase.

Great feel of the product but need to force a candle into the hole
I love the quality, look and feel so much and look forward to using them for years to come. However, I tried 3 different types of candles and none of them fit smoothly. I had to eventually just choose a generic set and slowly twist it into the number, shaving off wax from the candle, so that it would fit into the hole. Not sure if all of them are like that or just mine was.

Heirloom quality candle holders.
Beautifully presented and lovely, quality candle holders. They really add to a simple cake, but don't detract from something more elaborate. If I'd discovered holders like these 25 years ago, then I would have bought two sets for the 11, 22, 33 etc, however I've found found an alternative way for those occasions; making a mould and creating a chocolate number to sit beside its silver twin! An heirloom set for the celebration drawer. My daughter turned 28 yesterday, today our 33rd wedding anniversary, it will be my 54th birthday in two weeks so the holders, despite being an investment, are being well used.
