worked great with my Corsair HX750 750W power supply
This cable plugged into the GPU & CPU 4+4 ports on my Corsair HX750 750W power supply. The two 4 pin female connectors on the other end are attached to make an 8pin connector, but they slid apart to get two 4-pin connectors. The 4-pin connector plugged into the secondary CPU power port on my ASUS AM4 TUF Gaming X570-Plus (Wi-Fi) ATX motherboard and is doing a great job of supping power to my AMD Ryzen 9 3950X 16-Core CPU.All of the metal contacts of this cable are female. The sex is correctly defined by the metal contacts, not the plastic housing. The de3scription for this product is incorrect.Build Details:AMD Ryzen 9 3950X 16-Core 3.5 GHz AM4 ProcessorASUS AM4 TUF Gaming X570-Plus (Wi-Fi) Motherboad w/8 sata ports(2) Memory F4-3200C14D-32GFX G.SKILL Flare X Series (2 x 16GB) DDR4 (PC4 25600) for 64GBAsus DUAL-GTX1660S-O6G-EVO GeForce GTX 1660 Graphics CardCorsair CSSD-F2000GBMP600 Force MP600 M.2 2280 2TB PCI-Express Gen 4.0 x4 SSDCorsair HX750 750W power supplyCOMeap B07VF887KN CPU 8 Pin Male to CPU 4+4 Detachable CableScythe SCMG-5100 Mugen 5 Rev.B Air CPU Cooler(2) Thermaltake CL-F039-PL14BU-A 140mm Case FansThermaltake CL-F055-PL12BU-A Box of 3 120mm Case FansRosewill VIPER Z Mid-Tower CaseWindows 10 Home 64-bitCPU-Z benchmarks:multi thread: 10988single thread: 557CrystalDiskMark 7.0.0 x64 benchmarks:SEQ1M Q8T1: read:5009.03 write:4250.13SEQ1M Q1T1: read:3184.02 write:4239.74RND4K Q32T16 read:2901.25 write:2458.03RND4K Q1T1 read:57.82 write:208.11I reused the Rosewill VIPER Z case and Corsair HX750 power supply from a previous build. I replaced all of the case fans and needed to buy an extra cable for the second 4-pin CPU power connector, The Roswell case has seven 2.5"h disk drive slots. I choose the motherboard because it had 8 6GB SATA ports for the seven drives and one DVD drive.

Pci-EX to Cpu Header(PSU 8pin)
Works like it's supposed to, if you have two rails 12v try to figure out which rall is which so you can have one PSU power on Each rail, Not 2 PSU draws on the same rail, you may burn up your PS.Here is an Excerpt from AnandTech: "It's important to have one 12V rail supply the CPU with power and the second rail for the PCI-E slots and 6-pin connector. Unfortunately, many companies make a tremendous mistake when it comes to power distribution. We have seen several power supplies that use one 12V rail for the 6-pin PEG connector and then a second 12V rail for the CPU and 24-pin ATX connector. That means if you have a graphics card that doesn't include a 6-pin jack, both the CPU and GPU will use the same 12V rail for power. In this case, the second 12V rail goes completely unused, and users risk drawing too much current on the remaining 12V rail. In addition, how much power a GPU draws from the 6-pin connector and how much it takes from the PEG slot varies."In other words be sure that your are using the second rail with this, if you can look up the specs of your Corsair PSU. Good Luck!! Happy Gaming/Teching. Happy Hollidays', Merry Christmas. Here's the system I'm using it with:I was gonna knock one star for no Instructions, but you know what, If you are buying this, you should already know why.

Good Cable. Easy to rewire.
I bought this cable for my Gigabyte GP-P850GM. Of course, it didn't work the way it came. I had to rewire it using a multimeter to verify my existing cables. I pulled the cables from the PSU connection and reinserted them to match my gigabyte PSU outputs. The CPU side is standard, but hate that all PSU mnf. have different outputs on their power supply's. Couldn't find my gigabyte cables anywhere for sale!

Does not fit corsair ax1200
This did not fit my corsair ax1200 psu. :( cable seems of nice quality though.

Works for power supply to cpu connectors on the motherboard
Seems a bit expensive for a single 8pin + 4x4 eps cable but it does the job for my x570

Works with Corsair RM850 and Asus X570 ROG Strix motherboard
I bought this cable to supply power to my Ryzen 3800x running on my ASUS ROG Strix X570 motherboard. It has an 8+4 EPS power input for the CPU and I only had one 8 pin EPS cable on hand(always save the extra cables that come with your power supply). While the 3800x ran fine with just the single 8pin power connection at stock speeds in games and benchmarks, I've heard you can run into voltage stability issues when overclocking. I don't know how much I believe this considering a single 8 pin EPS provides 235watts and the 3800x is rated at 105 watts at boost. Can't hurt to have the extra cable plugged in, though. Recommended.
