I don't know, seems to work for me...
In all of my search and use of an arm-cuff BP machine, I never did find one big enough to get a non-error reading. They never worked for me. My doctor said to get a wrist one. He said bring it in when I do so he can compare. (I tend to have white-coat readings when I visit him. He wants to see what happens at home.) I purchased this one. I understand an arm cuff BP machine is more accurate, but this model seems to be consistent with how my BP usually reads in a medical situation. Sure, they are differences when I do multiple readings, but that happens in the Dr. office, also. (I know this because of said white-coat readings. They've check multiple times and see the discrepancy.) I take a few readings and average them out.Of course, if you are getting reading of 200/100 and the next is 120/80, yeah, then there is a problem with the machine. I never had that happen with this machine. Usually, the systolic reading is within 20 points, and my diastolic reading is within 7 points. Which is not bad. You will never get the exact reading or near the exact reading every time. Some many factors contribute to that. That's why I do an average.I'm not going to say negative reviews are wrong, because I went through many BP machines and they sucked. (Not just on Amazon.) All I want to say, this model seems to work. It is not the "Do All" like a Dr reading is, but it is something, a baseline if you will, to help watch my BP between Dr visits. Just to reiterate, my Dr. said to buy a wrist machine. He seems to have trust in them. So, for now, so will I.

Wrist cuff easy usage
I have purchased a couple of items in this brand name and they never disappoint. We used to have the arm cuff but find it hard to use. I find the wrist cuff much easier to use and I tend to get better readings.

Accurate readings, convenient app, adjustable wrist strap and durable little BP cuffs.
Needed to get a blood pressure monitor for my 93 year old mom. We use this thing at least twice a day every day. It is so well made with great materials. The hook and loop material on it is amazing, as itโs been nearly a year since using it, and it still sticks and unsticks with that reassuring sound. No fraying or fuzzing like some other cheap material. I also love that it is easy to use. Just hit the start/stop button and have it level with your heart, and it just works. It is quiet, simple and easy to read the LCD display. Wish it had a color screen, but thatโs just nitpicking. I also love that I dont need to write anything down to record the findings. There is an app and has Bluetooth connection to connect it to your phone.I would say that it could be improved, with say built batteries and a USB plug. Itโs 2026 and I feel all small electrical products should come with its own rechargeable battery, and not have to rely on AAA batteries. Yes they are universal, but it would be more convenient to just it just be rechargeable. But this is still not enough to minus a star. I do like itโs little case that i came in. But since it was not an actual hinge it has already broken due to the repeated opening and closing of the case. But it is especially useful for those with really small and thin wrists, like my mom. She is 93 and is the size of a 3rd or 4th grader at just over 80 lbs. So itโs hard to find something that will fit her wrist and still be accurate, when compared to the BP cuffs that the doctorโs use.

CHECK YOUR WRIST SIZE!
Wrist cuff is too large for my wrist. The device will always show โloose cuffโ symbol on all readings because of this. This diminishes the accuracy of the readings.Otherwise it works as it should.

Pass, stick to traditional arm cuff device instead
Overall, hard to read, doesnโt maintain pair with phone, and is inaccurate. The screen is not backlit and requires you to look directly at it to get the reading. If you look from any other angle you see gibberish. The screen not being backlit makes it hard to read in the dark. This also doesnโt maintain the connection with the phone, therefore, the reading history arenโt updated until you manually sync, which may not even work. I found that I have to exit the app and then enter the app again and then either it updates on its own or you have to sync manually. Everything with this devices is manual - you have to manually initiate a reading from the physical device. Since it is connected to the phone, why canโt you initiate from the phone? In addition, why canโt you set intervals for when to take the measurement? Lastly; this thing is inaccurate as it doesnโt matter how tight you make it, it complains it is loose, and the placement is inconvenient unless youโre Spider-Man.I bought this for monitoring blood pressure and keeping track of it for another person. In my opinions, I am better off using the traditional arm cuff device because that is so much easier and far more accurate, and better priced.

Easy to use and store, optional app can track trends
My grandma lives with me, and we have home health visiting. She hates having her blood pressure taken on her arm, so I ordered this OMRON "Gold Wireless Wrist Blood Pressure Monitor for Home Use - #1 Doctor & Pharmacist Recommended Brand - Clinically Validated - Connect App," so that we can use it to take her blood pressure comfortably at home.It has two different users for tracking purposes, selected by toggling a switch on the bottom of the monitor. It's very easy to use, but since it inflates slowly, sometimes it doesn't seem like it's working at first. So far I haven't had to change the battery. It seems to last for a while, since the use is intermittent. It can be used with or without the app. The app is used for different OMRON brand products. I did download the app, and while it's nice to have the memory of past blood pressures, it's not necessary in order to use this blood pressure monitor. It seem to take a fairly accurate blood pressure reading. I love how lightweight and portable it is, and how it's easy to put back in the plastic case between readings. I wanted to pay a little more for a brand I could trust, so I think the value is good for the brand.

Itโs the best
Excellent. Easy to read. Accurate. Pair with Apple Health. I bought another brand first (Oxiline) directly from the manufacturer: big mistake. I believed their hype on social media. It came used and damaged, and not accurate. But their customer service was awful (they accused me of damaging it myself). In the end I threw it out, took a big money hit. Learned 3 valuable (and expensive) lessons: 1. Donโt trust social media advertising; 2 Read reviews carefully. Omron gets great reviews; and 3. Buy from Amazon. They have great customer service and return policy.

Good BP Meter with Limitaions
Pros: Accurate, Easy to install cuff, good app to track and plot your readings - app allows you to delete individual readings, does not erronously show irregular heart beat as found with other brands, come with carying case.Cons: Difficult to use, Level indicator not really pro active - you are not sure that the level of the meter was correct until after you test is complete an the heart on right stays BLUE, heart intially flashes blue then goes off unitl the end of test, multiple tests required intially until you get it to the correct level - does get easier as you learn where the correct level is. Unnecessary agravation tends to raise you BP. LED screen dificult to read during and after test - you need to view straight on. Cannot individually erease individual reading from meter - all or nothing Overall, still probably a good choice at this price level. Does the job.

If you have heart issues, do not buy this machine. Will be a complete waste of money.
I bought this item and tried to use it for about 4 months. It never worked very well as it showed error about half the time. I spoke with the company and found that, if the user has atrial fibillation (irregular heartbeat), the machine will show error rather than giving the blood pressure reading. As there is no indication anywhere of this being the case, I asked for a refund of my $120 or a better machine. Turns out Omron will do neither. I am stuck with a $120 bill for a machine that is completely useless to me and Omron has left me high and dry. I suggest you keep this in mind if you are considering buying anything from Omron.Be advised that this machine also registers an error if your heart rate is less than 40 bpm. It will not give you your blood pressure if you have irregular heartbeat or if your rate is below 40- which mine is due to medication. Machine is actually useless if you are not in good health and the company flatly refuses to do anything for you. No amount of reasoning has any effect on them. They do not stand behind their product!!

Great customer service and responsiveness from the seller when encountered and issue with the product.

Bluetooth does not connect with CONNECT OMRON in Australia - buy HEM6232T which should be OK
CONNECT OMRON does not list this BP monitor in the supported monitors in Australia. It does in the USA region. The HEM6232T appears to be identical and is listed in the app.
