Buyers Beware Read Before You Buy!!!!
I purchased this for my new Surface Pro 7 so I can plug this in and use two extended monitors. Even though it has two video ports one VGA and one HDMI it will only allow you to duplicate the same image on both screens it really defeats the purpose of this. Now if you only plan to use one monitor and your surface as a monitor it can extend it across those displays. The other problem is it has a very short USB C connector so you will need to buy USB C Power connector as well. Everything else on this seems to function properly and it seems to be made well just beware if you plan to extend this to two external displays "IT WILL NOT WORK"

Requires power adapter for full functionality (sold separately)
I liked that it was a lightweight travel-sized docking station and had a good price.I don't like how it has a port hole for A/C power adapter, but the power adapter isn't included. Trying to find the exact right match is both difficult (hard to know what size the hole is, what the Volts and Amps you're looking for in the adapter so it provides enough power but doesn't fry the electronic, etc) and expensive (retail prices are much more expensive than wholesale prices especially since it's almost a specialty item and additional shipping is built in; with economies of scale the seller could easily get them for maybe $1 or $2 and resell at $3 included, but would want to make it $5-$10 when selling separately to cover shipping). Why does the A/C power adapter matter? Well, if you start trying to use it with long cables, with multiple power-hungry peripherals (eg external HDs that rely on the USB for power and don't have their own power adapter), etc. it'll fail. As it did for me. Could I not plug its every hole and not use long cables? I could, and it would work... but it then it would fail as a convenient docking station/hub which is what I used it for (my triple display would flicker, the external HDs couldn't read and the mouse and keyboard intermittently failed). However, if you're only planning on using it because your laptop doesn't have ports you need it to (RJ-45, SD card, etc.) then this works just fine.

Almost perfect
I got this to use with my work-issued MacBook Pro (2018, 15"). I use it in both MacOS Mojave and Windows 10 (with BootCamp).I've been using it for about 9 months now and it's been almost perfect. The two problems I've encountered are:1. The VGA port isn't great and it's not possible to use your VGA connector's screws to hold it in place. The picture is a bit noisy no matter what monitor I use it on. Fortunately I'm able to use the HDMI port on it just fine so this isn't a big deal.2. After about 6 months of continuous powered use (working from home due to you-know-what), the network jack stopped being recognized by the computer (error about failure to identify a USB device). Everything else still worked on it so I assumed it was just a partial failure and contacted the seller (UGREAT) about getting a replacement. They were extremely helpful and after asking some questions and walking me through some troubleshooting, they were ready to send a replacement. At this point I realized that even though I'd disconnected this hub from the computer multiple times during testing, I'd never disconnected the computer's power supply from the hub (oops). Once I did that and the hub was able to power cycle, it was back up and running 100% so I declined the replacement.Other than those issues, it's been great. It feels very well made, supports fully powering the laptop through USB-C power delivery, and hasn't suffered any problems with the cable or its USB-C connector like some may fear with inexpensive USB devices. Additionally, the seller's support was very helpful and I would definitely feel confident buying from them again.

Works but I have a weird problem with my mouse
Update: The mouse not working on the right side of the screen issue (described below) got too difficult to keep working with. Stopped using later in the day.Looks good, and works well - been using for a few hours now; will update review in a week or so.I have found that the mouse doesn't work on "internal" buttons on the right side of the screen! Imagine I am on Gmail, and I can close the Window, but I am not able to click the "settings" button that's inside. if I move the window over so that the settings button is towards the middle or left of the page, then the button works. Odd. I have been using this keyboard and mouse with another docking station - plus, I tested with a different mouse as well.Another example - in Excel, cannot click on "Remove Duplicates" - if I move the excel window so that the "Remove duplicates is not on the right side of the screen, then I can press it!Will start to get annoying quite fast. Hope someone can tell me that I am doing something wrong, or there is a simple fix.Best,

Primary video MUST be plugged into device
Imagine my surprise when i plugged this into my MacMini, only to discover that video stopped working. Unplugged it all, rebooted; Mac came up fine. Plugged back in, powered on, no video. Moved HDMI from Mac to device, and video came up. Don't know if this is by design or a flaw, but using this device should NOT disable on-board video on the Mac. Don't buy this device; there are others that work better.
