It had a soft powdery scent. This version by Eden Classics smells NOTHING like the original by Max Factor. In fact the Eden bottle has a very strong offensive scent (like cheap bathroom air freshener). As I ordered the Eden Classics, I also managed to find and buy an old Max Factor bottle which reconfirmed my current assessment. I am not sure what the rationale behind Eden Classic's decision is to offer this offensive scent under the name of a beloved vintage perfume--perhaps they are marketing it to a new younger clientele, but regardless of their reasoning, their product is misleading, fraudulent and substandard, not to mention an affront to the memory of a wonderful vintage perfume loved by many.

I loved wearing this 30 years ago. The dark one smelled funny but i still love this perfume.
