WOCA Denmark Tannin Spot Remover - Removes Black Stains and Rings On Wood Furniture, Wood Cabinets, Wood Floors and Millwork - 9oz

Moved a neighbor's wooden table that had seen better days and was heavily stained to our pool area. (1st image) Did two applications, letting it sit for ours. (2nd image) Did everything come out? No. (3rd image) Can you still see the stains after restraining the wood? No!!! (4th image) Good product.

Much smaller than anticipated, creating an even greater sticker shock at the cost. Applied, covered with plastic wrap to stay moist and proved to be a poor choice. Don’t waste your money if you have a true water stain. I should have realized it wouldn’t work and recall having hardwood floors sanded and refinished in the past where the professional told me stains were impossible to remove.

Worth the money! This product saved my hardwood floor. After a single treatment, the dark stain is already hardly noticeable. I applied liberally and let it sit overnight. Planning to do one more treatment to get the floor as good as new.

It works. I was able to eliminate 85% of the stain. The stain is still visible, but much better than it was before. The product is good, but don't expect the miracle.

I tried white vinegar on some black circles on a Walnut table top. I left it on overnight and it removed about 75% of the black marks. I then sanded the area removed the remainder of the marks. I then used the WOCA Denmark Tannin Spot remover on some other black marks and the results were about the same. Because of the high price of the WOCA Denmark Tannin Spot Remover I would just use plain white vinegar when removing tannin marks from furniture.

I have engineered hardwood floors with an oil finish. I used the product per instructions but reduced the duration from 30 minutes to 5 minutes. This product was very effective in removing both the Tannin, color, and finish of my floors. White vinegar and baking soda was more effective. Ultimately it cost me $350 to fix my floors. Beware... and definitely test before use.

First photo shows, to the left, my first application to small area with the second application to rest of stain. You can see how well the first little patch worked. The last photo is the next day after a couple of applications the night before (I did wipe off after 60 minutes) I will do one more application but without getting up close with the camera the stain is gone, no one would ever notice it. The stain was water from an air conditioner.

You need to be patient. This product does work, but it's not instant at all. You should expect to let this sit against the wood for a while, and it might require repeated applications to get the desired results, but remember that dark stain didn't happen instantly either. Clean the surface well, apply this product liberally, and wait as long as you can before wiping it up. The active ingredient needs to stay wet to work, so covering the area with cling film can be helpful to prolong the working time of each application. Expect to wipe up yellow slime afterwards, those are the dissolved tannins.

Ich muss zugeben, dass ich aufgrund der gemischten Rezensionen anfangs etwas skeptisch war. Aber da wir drei größere, tiefdunkle Flecken auf unserem Parkettboden hatten – verursacht durch einen unbemerkt verschimmelten Kürbis –, war dieses Spray unsere letzte Hoffnung vor dem Abschleifen. Was soll ich sagen? Das WOCA Gerbsäure Flecken Spray hat absolut gehalten, was es verspricht! Mein Fazit zur Anwendung: Wirkung: Die drei hartnäckigen Flecken sind fast vollständig verschwunden. Man muss schon sehr genau hinsehen und wissen, wo sie waren, um noch minimale Schatten zu erahnen. Für uns ein kleines Wunder! Anwendung: Super unkompliziert. Aufsprühen, einwirken lassen und den Fleck quasi beim Verblassen beobachten. Wichtig zu wissen: Man sollte sich nicht von den negativen Bewertungen verunsichern lassen. Das Spray reagiert auf die Gerbsäure im Holz. Wenn der Fleck die passende chemische Ursache hat (wie eben bei unserem Kürbis-Malheur oder bei Metallflecken), wirkt es absolut genial. Tipp: Nach der Behandlung sollte man die Stelle wieder mit etwas passendem Pflegeöl nachbehandeln, da das Spray den Fleck verständlicherweise komplett "nackt" macht. Absolute Kaufempfehlung, es hat uns das mühsame und teure Abschleifen des gesamten Bodens erspart.

Ho provato ad utilizzarlo per macchie di natura diversa,non ha funzionato del tutto ma le ha schiarite. Molto soddisfatta!

My husband washed our engineered wood floor with a chrome/steel table on it. This left giant unsightly black marks as a chemical reaction took place between the metal and the wood. I got this spray having tried a lot of other "solutions" on the internet that did nothing other than strip the oil out of my engineered wood floor. For the record, I tried both bicarb and barkeeper's friend and they just left big white marks on the floor. Got this in despair, not really thinking it would work. Half an hour later the marks have all lifted. Amazing. And it was so easy to use and didn't even smell. I'm delighted. Wish I had just used this first as I now need to re-oil the floor because of the damage done by earlier treatments. 100% recommend.
