Moon Time - Loving Time
This book is so loving and nurturing for the woman who didn't get the nurturing from her family of origin. It's perfect for me. I was not taught the Truth about my Moon Time, and I only now have taken action to learn about this super important part of being a woman! What prompted my action was that last month, I decided to stop taking birth control after about 20 years of taking it regularly!!! I have been chemically altering my body with The Pill and I feel remorse. This sweet book has awakened my curiosity and natural sweetness that is my birthright. One thing I learned from this book is the importance of being celebrated by her mother and family when a young lady gets her first period! I never had that-- and I was able to ask my mother for that life-affirming celebration NOW. When I called her on the phone and asked her to celebrate my "first" period, my mom had tears and he said she had never thought of that and she said of course she would. My package is in the mail and on it's way. I don't know what it's going to be, but I asked for a card and something cute with red and pink colors.I feel a healing and an awakening has already taken place. I look forward to my natural Moon Time from now on and learning the insightful gifts that it brings because Life is just that--- a gift!

This makes SO much sense!!
Why have we, as a culture, created this false belief that we need to operate at the same level, in the same way, all the time, day in and day out? I love the concept of treating your menstruation as a sabbath, a sacred rest. And then along with that idea, harnessing the power in all phases of our cycles to honor ourselves and perform at our best. Moon Time is packed full of insights and accessible suggestions to live in harmony with our cycles, not fight against them. We are cyclical beings! It's time we not only accept that, but we embrace that power. Love, love, loved this book!

I LOVED every second of this read and was blown away ...
Informative, transformative, enlightening and empowering. I LOVED every second of this read and was blown away by it. My husband is even reading it now and he is SO in tune with what I'm feeling during my cycle now. I highly recommend this read...definitely if you are a woman and even for the man in your life. I wish I would have been given this to read as a young girl versus "Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret". I think it would have clicked SO much better with me then. :-)

Great balance of scientific and spiritual
Has lots of useful, practical, scientific information that you'd be surprised not a lot of women know -- like how periods you get while on the Pill aren't actually periods (including the very clear explanation why). Coupled with lots of great feminine wisdom and spiritual concepts. I love the concepts of honoring our womanhood through ceremony and rites of passage (whether you do so alone or with a group), as well as emphasizing the need for female companionship and feminine communities. For more practical information about hormones and women (including treating conditions such as PCOS and endometriosis) I highly recommend looking into Lara Briden's work -- she has a website and a book.

... view myself as a women and I can not recommend this enough
This book changed the way I view myself as a women and I can not recommend this enough. If you are reading this, order the book, you won't regret it. Good ideas and tips and mixes tradition with science all while making it accessible to everyone. If you want to be on a friendship level with your body and not hating your body and self one week of every month get this book. For real. Right now. If you have young girls, she has a book written towards them, but get both, this for you, that one for them. :-) Enjoy getting your life changed and looking at your cycle in a whole new NICE light.

Three Stars
It was just okay. Nothing life changing or phenomenal. I wish it was more rich and in depth.

Enlightening
I really enjoyed this book. It was very educational, and moving. I think that this book is important for all women, old and young to read and understand. In today's male dominated society we operate on a 24/7 lifestyle, where even weekends aren't free any more. The havoc it causes on our systems takes years to undo, and the only way a woman gets any sort of relax during her menstruation, is if she's a stay at home mom, or a homemaker without children, and even then, it's not as relaxing as it should be.
