50s Petticoat Skirt Women Tulle Crinoline Underskirt 25"

***Original Review (before I learned it’s good for a lot of things)*** “Not too thrilled with the lack of fluffiness. These hardly poof out at all and they’re made of hard scratchy lace. Almost impossible to get on as well, unrealistically tight. These would fit my 6 year old perfectly if they weren’t so long.” **EDIT** (July 1st, 2023) I was going through old reviews and realized I went a bit hard on my expectations for an inexpensive product. I have used these now a few times over the years and realized I was a jerk for leaving a 1-star review on a product like this. I was expecting princess perfection on these but I only paid a for a pauper’s quality. That was on me, not the seller. With all that being said, they can be used for a variety of reasons; like costume parties or just for a fun dress-up event (like Pride parades or old western photos). It is true that they are super tight, but I realized that’s actually a benefit! Since one isn’t really fluffy enough to use as an underskirt, you can do what I did, which was put them on together in a double layer. Then pull the waste part of the skirt really far up your stomach and you have yourself a nice little fluffy goth-like dress (almost) with a built in skin tightener. You do need to add more to make it complete though, because the stretchy flat part of the skirts aren’t long enough to cover your breasts. I am lucky enough to be so short that I was able to pull it up to just under my bra line, which was perfect for I needed it in that circumstance, which was a Wild-Western-Themed party. I slapped on a black push-up bra and topped it all off with a black and red corset and “ta da!” old time saloon girl! It looked pretty good, too, if I may say so myself! I only left the initial bad review because I ordered it originally for my wedding dress (50’s-ish style halter, tight up top then had short fluff lower half) and it was just not as fluffy as pictured, and much longer. But I was able to make it work when I realized I could just pull it farther up (not gonna lie, it wasn’t exactly comfortable essentially being squeezed into a sausage-like tube of tight material, bad, D*MN it looked good), also needed to wash and manipulate skirting while still wet so it dries a bit better. I have been able to use it a few times now and it’s definitely worth the review edit. People, just keep in mind these two things: 1. Beauty hurts/or is uncomfortable sometimes., & 2.Don’t be a jerk like me and give a bad rating on something you got a cheap price (especially if it’s something you’ve got no experience with and were using it wrong to begin with, lol. Long story short, I apologize to the seller for any losses my negative review may have caused you, and I definitely 10/10 recommend.

It serves its purpose it’s a good adjustable length, I have it 4 stars because it smelled really bad, but I did wash it and let it air out and didn’t smell too bad afterwards good quality and added the perfect amount of fluff to my midi dress

Bought this thinking to use it as part of a costume (that I did not yet have!), because I had seen so many costume-type dresses online (renaissance, queen/princess, 50s, etc) where the advert photo shows a really poofy skirt, but people post pix and the dresses just hang limp. The skirt arrived in an intact plastic package, neatly folded, looked and smelled new. It poofed up a bit after I shook it and fluffed it a little, not as much as I would have liked but still, it appeared pretty much like the online photo. The fabric for the 2 layers of ruffles is a little stiff (as it should be); the fabric against your body is nice and smooth. The great thing is that it has dropped waist, so the ruffles do NOT start at the waistline, which would give a whole different look, and would NOT be good for someone short (like me) or on the heavier side. I tried it on with a few different skirts I have (not costumes), and it did add visible and reasonable fullness. With one skirt, a bit of the petticoat ruffle was visible below the hemline, which IMO was kind of cute, if maybe a bit 50s/60s. However, if I were going to go that route, I'd wear this petticoat skirt in a color to match the over-skirt (or dress). So for example, I bought the black petticoat, and I didn't like how it looked peeking out from under a white skirt. But I think a white ruffle peeking out would be great. Many years ago (80s) I had a crinoline that was hugely full, almost impossible to sit down or get in a car. This is not like that. This petticoat is comfortable and does not seem as if it will be annoying to wear, either as a costume or as part of an outfit.

So weird. I bought 3 of these, one yellow, and two purple. The two purples were in different sizes, XL and L. But they were all very different products! The two purples were different color purples, one was more vibrant, one was darker. I liked the vibrant purple one better for its color. But I liked the darker purple one better for its shape and fit. And the darker purple was more fluffy, which I liked. The yellow one was a similar design to the brighter purple one. At this point I have no idea which purple originally was in which size, because they are very similar. Maybe the bright purple one is the XL, but I'm not sure. There are no tags on them to indicate and I didn't pay attention to which one came out of which package (because I figured I could match them up later.) Nothing wrong with them. They all work as desired. But they're all different products when I thought they'd be the same, so that's weird.

Perfect fit. Easy to wash and doesn't really need starch but I did a light starch. Almost a full dry and then a soft steam. Goes very well with skirts and cocktail dresses.

Ichhabe es als Unterrock getragen und muss sagen es trägt sich gut. Der Unterrock hat sehr gut gepasst. Und eine sehr schnelle lieferung.
