Review: Wonderful Resource for ER providers - I highly recommend this textbook. I love that the book explains medical ailments in an outline format, which makes it easier to digest. Also I like how the book is alphabetically organized so I don’t have to refer to the table of contents or indices to find what I’m looking for. I will be starting a fellowship in the emergency department as an ER nurse practitioner. I anticipate utilizing this textbook very often during my study hours.

Pros: easy to use; Cons: HEAVY!
This is a great reference BUT it is just not a feasible work option unless you have a desk to put it on. Very heavy. Purchasing the book does give you access to the ebook-so that is helpful but the ebook is a little challenging to read on a phone. Works great on a tablet or Surface!

It would have been great, had it be a handbook

BEWARE
BEWARE…access code that comes with the book does NOT work online despite claiming to be a new book. Also, very long shipping. Buy elsewhere is my advice

Avoid the kindle edition of this book
Very useful book for those working in the emergency department. Unfortunately the formatting in the kindle edition of this book is very poor and unusable. There is no way to search for a topic. For example if you want to look up sepsis, you first must go to the table of contents and then you have to scroll the screen with your finger past hundreds of topics (spread out over many pages) until you get to the section on sepsis. Fortunately Kindle allowed me to delete the kindle version of the book on my Ipad and I bought a better formatted edition in the app store (but for $20 more then the kindle version)
