Good, quiet card. Impressed.
Bought this to replaced an MSI RX5700XT Mech OC that failed after a few hours. it was noisy and hot before it failed. Maybe it was a dud. I’m only playing 1080p so the difference is not important to me. I max out everything I’ve played to get a steady 60fps. This is very quiet much more so than the It has a dual bios with a quiet setting which drops the performance very slightly and slows the fans down. according to you tube videos you can flash one of the Bios with an XT firmware if you want and switch between them. (or with a single bios card you can just flash the bios) The XT bios won’t quite give you XT performance and there are risks with this I guess. This card is approx equivalent to a 2060 Super (but without raytracing - although on a 2060, raytracing is too slow anyway). With the bios flashed and a few tweaks you should get 2070 performance on average (this all depends upon which games you play... search you tube). With the bios flash the card does use quite a bit more power, but could be undervolted. I may try if I need more frames at some point. There is a red LED at the side if have a Perspex / glass panel. I’ve not yet had a go at changing the colour - I presume it’s fixed. AMD seem to have fixed the early driver issues, I’ve not had a problem with any game. The AMD image sharpening will ama Le you to run a 4k screen at a lower resolution with a sharp image similar, and currently more effectively than Nvidias DLSS (although I believe that is improving). This gives decent frame rates at 4k with setting turned down. Be aware that the reference blower style RX5700 and XT cards will run hotter and louder, but they do expel the air out the back of the case which can be better if you don’t have good cooking in your case. You should be able to get away with a 450 watt power supply if you don’t have too many other things going on in your case, but that will be a good make. If you have a basic spec power supply go 500 watt or more.

Didn't work for me
These things happens sometimes. Issues include boot loop, crash to desktop, crash to black screen, BSODs, microstutters, not recognized by games. Long story short, I've tried everything from updating adrenalin, to clean install of adrenalin, to updating MB BiOS, updating firmware of MB, updating chipset drivers of MB. Deleting adrenalin drivers for a clean install resulted in a black screen with 0 PC functionality. Threw my old and tired r9 290 back in and booted back into windows in standard VGA mode. Ran adrenalin software and downloaded the latest version and its back working like its supposed to. Returning the RX 5700. I gotta admit that when it did work for the few minutes at a time that it did, it was FFFFFking amazing. 40-70% more framerate at much much lower temps (45-61degC vs 95deg C), thus much lower fan noise (35% vs 100,000%) than my club3d r9 290 royalking.

Well worth your money
Like: pushed up gameplay smoothness with Ultra settings enabled. Can play games in 1440p. Gfx card makes the games look super realistic. Dislike: drivers are finicky, I need to custom tweak individual games, global gfx settings don't always work. Can become quite loud when playing certain AAA titles. Overall: nice to know the community makes AMD aware of problems and bugs will be ironed out soon.
