I really like this little kennel! I purchased it for my Yorkie simply because she is so afraid of riding in the car. I'm not able to let her sit in the seat without some type of restraint because she is trying to climb up my chest while driving (no matter what we do, she just hates car rides!). I think this will be perfect for the short trips to the vet, groomer or wherever we need to go. It was very easy to put together and seems very sturdy. I like that you can open the door from either side as well. There is plenty of room inside for her to lay or stand, as well as turn around if she needs to. The color is cute too, and accurate to the picture in my opinion. Definitely would recommend this to anyone needing a kennel!

Greetings,My cat required knee surgery and three long drives to a specialist vet hospital. My old carrier was getting to be a tight fit with the plastic door hinges questionable.This new carrier is larger for Lucky to stretch out and even stand in. This greatly made the treks less traumatic. The assembly was an easy slide-on fit. Special screws and lock nuts were a welcome addition to permanently hold it all together with absolute security. I love the large steel door that opens from the right or left. The lock is very secure. My old --all plastic-- carrier scared me every time I used it. Got tired of using garbage ties as extra security too.Some purchasers complain of the difficult assembly and declining product quality. I found NO such critiques. And, while Lucky hates leaving home, he didn't complain and cry as with the old carrier.The price for the product, design and quality was very reasonable. And, I would recommend this carrier to ANY cat owner.Steve Franks

Nice and roomy for our 10lb. dog, who is a Boston Terrier/Chihuahua mix and has a fair amount of leg on her. Easy to put together - took about 3 minutes. Door opens and closes nicely from either side- the ability to remove the door completely is a plus. Not sure that I'd recommend lugging it about with the handle if one had a 20lb pet, but that could just be me and past bad experiences with handles that were flimsy on other brands of crates. It's a bit large for fast trips in the car so we stuck with a small size crate for that- but as a 'living space' and den for our dog it is exactly right. She can take stuffed toys in and still have plenty of room- she seems to approve her new digs very much.

This is an attractive kennel that looks just like the picture shown. It is nice and sturdy and the size is just what I expected it to be. The handle makes it easy to carry and is attached well, so there is no worry about dropping your pet. The only issue I had with this thing is that it was rather difficult to put together because it is hard to line the holes up top and bottom where the screws go. Otherwise, it is perfect and easy to clean. For the price, I think it was well worth the money. My dog has plenty of room in it, being in the ten pound range.

We bought this cute little carrier for our 9 year old daughter to bring home her brand new mini dachshund puppy from California to Nevada. Beautiful color and a good quality, sturdy carrier that served our purpose well. I was a little nervous that the knobs would prove difficult to open but no fear, our 9 year old was able to open the door with ease. This is a well made carrier best for dogs under 10 pounds. I also like how the door of this carrier can be simply and completely removed giving you the ability to reach in easier. On a day to day basis it might not be necessary to take the entire door off but anyone who has taken a frightened pet to the vet knows that sometimes that extra 1-2 inches makes a big difference when reaching in to take out a dog cowering in the back!!

This attractive carrier was great for my rabbit who needed transport to the vet. The size and weight were ideal for my needs. Loved the bright color too. Made it easy to spot at the vets office and attractive for sure! On the other hand, I did find that putting it together was confusing. The instructions were rather vague and the picture in the instructions wasn't exactly the same as the product. I had trouble threading the small plastic pieces to the screws that were included to attach the top and bottom of the cage. The holes were ever so slightly misaligned so the screw didn't go in perfectly straight, thus making it hard to thread the plastic caps onto the screw properly. There were a few pieces left over that were not in the directions(spares maybe?) which threw me for a loop because I assumed that I had not completed the assembly. (Turns out I had) overall I am satisfied with the carrier for the price and quality.

I purchased this carrier as a second unit for my daughter's use in transporting her cats during a 500 mile move out of state. She used it for one of her 2 cats while using another carrier (Petmate) for the other. It worked well for her, providing plenty of space for her cat's comfort during the trip. While only providing for entry via the front door, vs a double door unit, which works better for cats, it still was quite easy for her to get her cat into the carrier (not usually a willing participant). There are plenty of air holes for ventilation, which is so important during transport. The carrier comes un-assembled, and is easy to assemble with a solid, resulting unit. Materials are easy to clean, etc. Another solid Petmate product.
