Jumping right in: I was highly debating adding the carabiner, but it is VERY handy and you don't have to use it if you want to loop the rope thru the hole for hanging. I found it much easier to use my 3/8ths Screw Eye Hooks (rated 250lb, 114kg) into the ceiling of my garage which holds my 180 lb (81kg) weight including dynamic loading, jumping on it, swinging... it's VERY SOLID. The rope hasn't shed much if any. I'm using it for mostly arm over arm climbing but I worked fine when using my Feet. Out of the box, there is some smell but goes away after a day. The rope is quite stiff and you hear creaking sounds, but I've only gone 15-20 rounds with it so I think that will eventually stop. I expect some stretch but that's natural in my experience climbing ropes at gyms. This does seem to be professional GYM quality. Creaking and stretch doesn't seem to be hurting anything or indicate lessened lifespan. Width is great for my hands and my kids (5 and 7), you can tie knots in the rope to change the difficulty of the workout and they are able to be un-knotted as long as you don't really jump on them to secure them, like I did when testing. Then they take much more effort to untie. I wanted a rope to add to my ninja obstacles in my garage with 12+ feet ceilings and this is PERFECT. With the Carabiner attachment it would be very quick to clip off and then transport and use for all sorts of things (battle ropes if you had 2 of them is something I plan to try!). To buy 2 ropes for $40 each would still be cheaper than buying "battle ropes" here AND you have climbing ropes too so it's like having 2 products for the price of 1 and you aren't storing 4 large items when 2 will suffice. Thank you Perantlb! great stuff Review: Fantastic! - I am thoroughly impressed with the quality of this climbing rope. The feel of the natural fibers, the diameter, the twist of the braid, all seem to help the rope meld with my hands. Although it was purchased for personal use, the quality of this rope will ensure that it lasts for years, and in my opinion would even stand up to regular professional use in a gym. It looks, feels, and even smells (yep - smells) like authentic and genuine rope (it is). No mix of chemicals, no coverings, no fake textures or anything else on this one to interfere with the natural feel that the palms need to really grip and train. I made the BEST choice. ## Features - 【6 Types of Length, 1.5 inch Diameter】10ft, 15ft, 20ft, 25ft, 30ft and 50ft. length available for 1.5” ropes, which allows users to adjust exercise intensity by altering rope length and diameter, ideal for both professional and amateur sports lovers of ages. - 【High Quality Material】 Our gym climbing rope is made using natural jute rope. Is it weather resistant? Seen people saying it snapped for outdoors** A: We've had it outside the entire time since delivery, but I can't in good faith tell you how long it will remain in good condition given that it hasn't seen a single minute of human use (it's for one of our pets, and it has seen a LOT of climbing; she tried chewing on it when she was still under a year old but gave up as she couldn't get her mouth around it). **Q: Is the length of the rope before the loop is made? Or is the length of the rope is measured after the loop is made?** A: The length of the rope including the loop is 11 feet. **Q: Would this work good for pulling weights ?** A: Yes. No different the using it for climbing. I’m 200lbs and I’m sure it can hold 500 no problem. **Q: The rope is described more than once as sisal, yet the material description says hemp. Which material is it?** A: I'm not 100 percent sure but, by light color and smell it's sisal rope on my climbing rope ...... ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic and versatile (15ft with carabiner) *by A***R on October 25, 2020* Awesome Product and very fair price for what I received!! It’s stronger than expected and it can even stay strong on some of the small tree branches that are higher up. Thanks to the paper, it was easy to get the rope “stuck” on the tree and it’s very firm. For Christmas the entire family enjoyed climbing up on it. This rope has many uses thats fun for everyone and also good for exercise! When climbing up the rope I could tell it was stretching and I could hear it, so, I would expect the rope to get longer the more it’s used. ## Frequently Bought Together - Perantlb Outdoor Climbing Rope for Fitness and Strength Training, Workout Gym Climbing Rope, 1.5'' in Diameter, Length Available: 8,10, 15, 20, 25, 30,40, 50 Feet… - Dolibest Ceiling Mount Swing Hanger Heavy Duty Swing Set Hook for Porch Swing Hammock Chair Yoga Silk Suspension Straps Gymnastic Ring, Wall Anchor for Resistance Bands (900LB) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.sn/products/150134156-outdoor-climbing-rope-for-fitness-and-strength-training-workout-gym](https://www.desertcart.sn/products/150134156-outdoor-climbing-rope-for-fitness-and-strength-training-workout-gym) --- *Product available on Desertcart Senegal* *Store origin: SN* *Last updated: 2026-11-07*
