Durable
I took these with me to SE Asia and the walkways here are like hiking. Rocky, uneven, sharp objects - it's hard to imagine if you're not here, but it would be accurate to say I've used them for hiking a mile daily for almost a year.I can't believe how they've held up. This is beyond what I'd expect from any shoe. The only thing they've needed is to wash all the dust off and rub them with coconut oil (it's what they have here) and they look good as new.Whatever the material is holds the sheen from the oil well -- I've only needed to do it twice in all this time. The design also gives you excellent sure footing except when wet. When my foot sort of slides around in the shoe.

Lightweight, comfy and waterproof with classic Birkenstock look and fit
I'm a fan of Birkenstock to begin with but this is my first pair made with EVA. It's a very lightweight man-made material that feels a little like crocks but less squishy, cushioning but more firm, texture is smooth and soft on the skin. I haven't worn them yet for any extensive length of time but out of the box the quality, style, feel and fit is great - as expected from Birkenstock! I normally wear a size 7.5 or 8 in women's or a "big kid" 6.5 in sneakers and the size 38 in Birkenstock are perfect for me. The listing says women's "Toe Post Sandals Flip Flops" but the actual name of this style is Gizeh and they are authentic. I was a little confused by the sellers listing because they mix the various materials available all in one listing. So, unless you know what you are buying you might not get the material you expected. I'll do my best to explain the materials (but you might want to go to the official website for detailed info). Birkenstock makes the Gizeh in a natural leather upper with a cork sole (most expensive), the Birko-Flor which is a man-made upper and a cork sole (mid-price), and the EVA in which the upper/lining/sole is one-piece molded Ethylene Vinyl Acetate aka EVA (lowest cost). Not only is this a great option in terms of cost but it's also something that you can get wet and still wear comfortably as they are waterproof and washable. It's made of a "high-quality, very light, elastic material with very good cushioning". This EVA material is a great option for a kids summer sandal since they're affordable waterproof. But also for adults as they have a high quality look (they don't look cheap at all like most man-made materials do) and can be worn with a dress or as house shoes. I highly recommend!

Fit like a glove and no flop flop sounds
These sandals are my all-time favorites! They are plastic which took a little bit to get used to the feeling but soon I realized that they were amazing. They are waterproof so they can be washed in the sink or hosed off, they are so light that you can hold both with one finger for beach walking, they fit so well that they like extensions to your feet… don’t fall off. Very comfy too. I don’t want any other sandals. I highly recommend them!

Best ever
I have been trying to buy these for a couple of years. Earlier this year I bought them from a Facebook site and they never came. Paypal didn't back me up because they said it came from Fed-Ex. I have a Ring doorbell. It never came. Anyway, I am handicapped, these stay on your feet and provide incredible support that flip flops don't. My daughter gave me a pair (in white) two years ago (From Nordstroms, same price) and They are worn out now. I have nothing bad to say about these! I purchased two pair, so I can enjoy the freedom that they give me around the house, yard and at the beach!

Absolutely love them as I am on my feet 12 plus ...
I have had a pair of leather and cork Gizeh sandals for 2 yrs. I purchased them after fracturing my left foot. Absolutely love them as I am on my feet 12 plus hours a day with my business. The thing I did not like about them is in my business I deal with animals so not uncommon for my feet to get wet from grass, bathing etc and it has eventually ruined my leather Gizehs. When I saw the EVA version I was excited to try them. I was also concerned they might not look as nice as the original leather, but I was wrong they are very cute, comfortable, light weight and so far very durable. I am getting ready to order another pair in another color. Love them!

Most uncomfortable shoe ever!
I have had Birkenstock shoes in the past and thought the quality and comfort would live up to their standards...How wrong I was! These were the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever worn. I bought these for work and when I received them I cut the tags off and put them on. I wore them around the house thinking they needed to be broken in a bit, but nothing seems to work. They were as hard as a rock and after a couple of days decided to return them. Again just wore them around the house, never outside or to work. When returning I was only given half a refund because the tags were cut off and they were "worn". How can you try on shoes and try them out without cutting tags off????On top of only getting back half the money, customer service was quite rude saying I shouldn't threaten them with a bad review. Well the truth is the shoes suck and because they were so rude I will never buy Birkenstocks again! Back to my Oofos shoes!
