Question 1

Are these 100% biodegradable? It says biodegradable - 100%?

Accepted Answer

No it is not. Ftc had ruled that bamboo from rayon does not degrade quickly enough under normal disposal to be considered biodegradable. If composted or buried alone, it might break down faster... but likely no faster (and in my experience, much slower) than cotton of a similar thickness. https://www.ftc.gov/news-events/press-releases/2009/08/ftc-charges-companies-bamboo-zling-consumers-false-product-claims

Question 2

Are these oeko-tex certified? (ensures they're pure and free of harmful chemicals... since this is made in china, i feel i need to ask)

Accepted Answer

personally I see nothing that has had any side effects. they really come in handy when you work where there is no running water

Question 3

Does anyone know how much they weight with out packaging? I want to use them for backpacking.

Accepted Answer

They are really lightweight. It comes with a small tube that you can fit roughly 10 of them in, which weighs only a few oz. When I backpacked with them, I put the tube in my pocket, and then kept the bag itself in my pack (it was a long trek, so I needed more than 10). If you are using these as TP, be aware that you will probably use more than what you can carry in the tube in a day or two.

Question 4

Would burying them along with poop in the forest be ok? how long would they last compared to camping tp?

Accepted Answer

National Park and National Forest rules say you should pack out your used toilet paper, and this product is less biodegradable than TP. The seller's (Convenient Ideas) answer that it is OK makes me regret my purchase.
