Nerf Fire Vision Baseball Set

Like others have said, I can't believe they even sell this with one pair of goggles. You simply have to have two (luckily, I read those reviews beforehand and ordered another set).The product description is pretty clear, but just to be REALLY clear, there aren't any lights inside the bat or ball; it's all based on reflectors. So you wear a light on your head that shines a light on the ball (and bat), which then reflects back. So you can only see the bat/ball if you're directing your headlamp right at it. It's actually kind of hard to play baseball, because if the ball goes off into the dark, you're kind of toast unless you can swivel your head around until your light shines on it and reflects back.That said, it's definitely something I've never seen before, and both kids (9 and 14) liked it, as did we parents. You just have to lower your standards a bit as to the quality of baseball you'll be playing. Price seems right for what you get.

The bat and balls seem to be very sturdy, not like a typical wiffel ball bat with thin plastic. Hopefully it holds up for some time. I was amazed at how well these light up with these light frames you wear. My sons also got the Nerf Fire Vision football set for Christmas. They were playing both outside one night with some friends and I put on a pair of the frames. My initial thought was that it would only be a few feet in front of you that they would light it up, To my surprise they were lit up from a good distance away. If you don't have a pair of the frames on you can't see the ball coming at you, so beware of this parents! these balls are a dark gray, and you cant see them at night without these frames. Was a lot of fun. Just have a big enough area clear of any trees and you should be good for some extra play time, at night! and get extra pairs of frames so you can join in!! One of the best toys they have gotten for Christmas!

It's a really cool idea and it works well the only problem is it only comes with one set of "goggles" and only the person wearing them can see the ball and bat. If you're playing at night (which I assume is what most people intend to do with it) then you either have a blind batter or a blind pitcher/outfielder. Although the product is clear that you'll only receive one pair of goggles and to some people experience might be an obvious one, I wasn't aware until attempting to play that no one else would be able to see. Get at least two and you'll enjoy this game.

We have all the fireVision toys. The football is still the best. They are all Coooooooooooool. I always wonder what the people driving by think when all they see are small green lights running around having a blast...

I bought this as a birthday gift for my younger brother and he loves it. I had saw the firevision football in action on Christmas at a family members house, my younger brother is more into baseball though. He was very excited when I gave him this and we had to practically drag him back inside.

We ordered the baseball and football fire vision and out of the two we liked the football better. We felt like we kept having to tilt our head in a weird way in order for the item to glow properly. I also didn't like the fact that it only came with one pair of glasses. Seriously, who likes to play bball by themselves.

I mean it's fine once you understand what it is. I want the old Nerf baseballs back though, with the hard core.

These are awesome. You would never know that these are glow in the dark until you put the glasses on. I watched my kids throw the baseball back an forth in the dark and could not see a thing. Once I put the glasses on, everything in silver lights up what ever color glasses you have on.
