The zippers on these backpacks are very poor quality. Broke after a very short time with careful use. The backpack is very cute and I appreciate that the company strives to offer a 'non-toxic' backpack, but I would not purchase again.

Updated 11/13/13 I am editing my review - I contacted Milkdot and they said that the bagpack I purchased was basically an early model from an unauthorized retailer. Because of that they they offered me half off a new bag, a free lunchbag (I'd had problems with that item as well) and free shipping. I am happy to report that the new bag has held up extremely well - it looks basically brand-new still and is much better made. I also appreciate the company standing behind their products and I will shop there again. ---- I purchased this along with a matching Milkdot lunch bag for my 6-year-old daughter. After less than two months of light/normal use, they are falling apart. Both have lost zippers/zipper pulls and look pretty shoddy. I'm really disappointed as these were not cheap. I've purchased other similar items from other companies that still look brand new after a year so I know it's not a mishandling problem.
